ABOUT YOU:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced industry professional with a passion for animation, focusing on their craft to create outstanding character performance and gameplay animations. The duration is for a contractor for 6 to 9 months.

An enthusiastic and positive member of the team who collaborates with various disciplines to deliver an outstanding animation experience through solid visual storytelling.

Responsibilities:

  • Create high-quality narrative & gameplay animations using industry-leading software and tools.

  • Collaborate with the Art Director and Lead Animator to develop animation concepts that align with the artistic vision of the game.

  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior animators.

  • Seek out and share methods to improve animation quality and efficiency.

Requirements

  • Experience as a Principal Animator on at least one shipped title

  •  3 to 5 years of games experience in this position or similar

  • Strong portfolio showcasing a selection of high-quality character animations.

  • Deep understanding of animation principles and techniques.

  • Solid understanding of animation software such as Maya & MotionBuilder.

  • Knowledge of using motion capture data.

  • Good understanding of modern game engines.

  • Basic understanding of animation graphs & state machines.
