ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

As the People Partner, you will work closely with our senior managers in Canada to identify and implement People-related programs and solutions. You will provide guidance and direction to internal clients; support key business initiatives; and ensure maximum organizational effectiveness. You will also assist in developing, implementing, and maintaining local People team policies and programs.

This role is operational requiring experience in the areas of employee relations, engagement, coaching, benefits and beyond.

 

Responsibilities

  • Business Partnership: Be a trusted advisor to managers and employees to help them deliver their best work every day. Execute a full range of People duties -- support and facilitate organizational design and development where necessary in close collaboration with the People Business Partner, management coaching, and team building that support change and growth.
  • People Team Partnership: Engage and collaborate with the global People team. Actively align with global People Partners to execute on various people related strategies locally.
  • Manage the new hire orientation and onboarding for managers and employees.
  • Work closely with the People Operations teams to ensure operational efficiency within the country
  • Employee Engagement: drive and leverage employee engagement initiatives that elevate and sustain high levels of employee engagement; leads this work for the respective country/ site
  • Employee Relations: Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues. Conduct effective, thorough, and objective investigations and exit interviews.
  • Culture: Engage and align local leadership/ management with Wind River’s culture to drive inclusivity and a growth mindset. Champion and accelerate our efforts to build a best place to work.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to implement core People-related policies, programs, and practices necessary to drive business objectives

 

ABOUT YOU

Core Competencies & Demonstrated Success

  • Min. of 7 years’ generalist experience in Human Resources
  • Ability to partner with and coach senior managers to increase their performance and ensure that strong leadership and coaching is infused throughout the organization
  • Deliver a high level of service by providing appropriate influence, guidance and assistance to address a variety of employee related issues
  • Demonstrated experience in the following areas: coaching and development, talent/performance management, and development of engagement initiatives
  • Competent in advising on issues that have employment law implications
  • An outstanding focus on achieving a high level of customer service and creating a best-in-class employee experience
  • Highly organized and detail oriented
  • Ability to quickly build relationships and credibility with leaders
  • Excellent oral/written communication and listening skills; presentation skills
  • Effective in “rolling up sleeves” to deliver results
  • Strong work ethic; bias toward action, implementation, and speed
