Summary

The Operations Associate is responsible for visiting retail and grocery store locations to ensure high-quality service for Deliveroo orders. This hands-on role involves monitoring store performance metrics (B10 metrics: amended orders, rejections, missing items, cancellations), identifying operational issues, and providing on-site corrective training to store pickers. Responsibilities include root cause analysis of performance issues, developing and implementing site-specific action plans, maintaining detailed visit records, conducting hardware checks (tablets, SIM cards), and collaborating with store staff for efficient picking operations. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and skilled in problem-solving and communication. This position reports to the Senior Operations Associate.

The ODC Associate is responsible for visiting retail and grocery store locations to ensure the highest level of service for Deliveroo orders. This role is hands-on and includes monitoring store performance metrics, identifying operational issues, and providing immediate corrective training to store pickers. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of analyzing problems and implementing practical solutions. This position will report directly to the the Senior Operations Associate. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Performance Monitoring: Regularly assess store performance through B10 metrics, including amended orders, rejections, missing items, and cancellations.
  • Root Cause Analysis: Investigate and document the causes of performance issues and determine solutions to address them.
  • On-Site Training: Train store pickers on Deliveroo procedures, focusing on order prioritization, substitution handling, and accuracy in picking.
  • Action Plan Development: Create and implement site-specific action plans to improve performance, detailing issues, findings, solutions, and any additional support needed from stakeholders.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed records of each site visit, summarizing issues observed, solutions implemented, and feedback collected from pickers and store management.
  • Hardware Checks: Conduct regular checks on store tablets and other hardware used for Deliveroo operations; troubleshoot, replace, or supply additional devices or data SIM cards as necessary.
  • Collaboration with Store Staff: Coordinate with store staff to locate items, verify stock, and ensure efficient picking operations.

Requirements

  • Experience: 1-2 years in a retail, grocery, or delivery operations role.
  • Skills: Strong problem-solving skills, effective communicator, ability to work independently, and high attention to detail.
  • Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with mobile/tablet applications and basic troubleshooting.
  • License and Transport: Must have a valid driving license and own car.
