Job Description

This role involves developing and executing MxTest automation scripts for a Murex project within a leading Asian bank. Responsibilities include automating test cases for regression testing, accelerating testing processes, preparing automation reports, defining testing strategies, managing testing phases (SIT, UFT, UAT, Regression), creating test cases and cycles, engaging with the automation team, reporting test progress, providing metrics, and collaborating with various IT teams. The candidate will be the focal point for business testing needs, managing stakeholder expectations, and adhering to the bank's service management guidelines. Experience with Murex 3.1, MxTest, and financial market products is crucial.

Project description

Our Customer is a Leading bank in Asia that provides a front to back integrated platform for straight-through processing and risk management.
This is a multi-year initiative where different projects run in concurrence under the program's variety milestones. These streams include new product initiatives, new entity roll-outs, and regulatory compliances.
We will have key roles in projects such as managing the scope, design and delivering requirements from front to back office.

We are looking for talented and ambitious people.
The roles are in the respective Functional, Test Management, Development, Test Support, Environment Management and Release teams. These units will collectively undertake scoping, design, building, testing, and implementation phases to deliver the variety program milestones.

Responsibilities

Techno Functional

Developing MxTest automation scripts for the Murex project

Execution of MxTest scripts

As part of the project we are looking to automate the test cases which can be reused for regression testing.

Automation also is required to facilitate the smooth project delivery.

You are expected to help accelerate the testing processes by automating test cases, performing regression and performance tests, and creating stubs to support various testing around Murex and surrounding applications.

You should be able to showcase the test execution and help in automation stats and automation report preparations.

Candidates with functional knowledge in Derivatives and Foreign Exchange will have a distinct advantage

Define the testing strategy and framework to ensure a high standard of testing and quality assurance is in place

Plan and manage various phases of testing (SIT, UFT, UAT & Regression)

Prepare the test Cases, test cycles & test environment

Engage test automation team for planning, scripting and execution of test scripts

Report test progress and Issues (Daily, Weekly)

Provide metrics and status updates for organization reporting

Work with different IT teams across infrastructure and various business divisions to deliver testing solutions for the business.

Be the focal point of contact for Business testing needs

Liaise with technical lead and Project managers to manage expectations for each of the testing stages of projects. Agree 'quality gate' criteria and corrective actions

Stakeholder management

Adhere to the Bank's Service Management guidelines (ITIL) and participate and provide recommendations in process, service and system improvements

Skills

Must have

5-8 years of software testing experience

Murex Experience 5+ Years

Murex 3.1 experience 4+ years

Strong MxTest consultant with functional knowledge esp around BO – confos, settlements, OSP, fixing, reports, etc

RTP knowledge (Quality gates, CI set-up, etc)

Optimise the test packs & reduce regression cycle time by implementing server-side execution, parallelism, etc

MxTest, Back office or Front Office in Murex.

Automation experience with Onyx experience of 2+ years

Must have worked in the Financial Market Domain.

Automation role requires working on scripts.

Murex Testing, MX3.1 or Mx2.11 experience

Murex functional testing experience is a must on any or multiple Murex modules: Front Office, Back Office Integration, Accounting, and Datamart Reporting

Knowledge of financial market products

Understanding of bank's front, middle, and back office operations, finance, and accounting. Experience and management of at least one Front to Back implementation within a financial services organization

Experience in vendor management and good IT risk understanding.

Report comparison tools

Experience with Murex setup and functional tests using various modules of Murex

Ability to work independently and take decisions

Experience in working directly with Technical leads, project managers, and Business Analysts in business and IT organization

Experience with Principles, methods, techniques, and tools for the effective management of the testing process

Experience in the execution of tests throughout the lifecycle of development projects

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills

Mentoring junior team members

Nice to have

X-Ray Test tool, JIRA, Exposure on Murex Mx2.11

Murex on Cloud testing experience (good to have)
