Summary

This role involves supporting technical marketing teams with system design, validation, and content creation for leading-edge multimedia solutions. Responsibilities include IP integration, customizing device trees, developing multimedia application demos using Gstreamer or BareMetal, investigating customer issues, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and reviewing/updating marketing materials. Experience with AMD FPGAs and standard video processing functions (scaling, de-interlacing, frame-rate conversion, tone mapping) is essential. The ideal candidate will have strong Linux expertise (boot process, system internals, device drivers, DRM/KMS, V4L2, FBDEV) and hands-on experience with Gstreamer or similar video/media frameworks.
Must have:
  • Hands-on experience with Gstreamer or any video/media framework
  • Working knowledge of hardware evaluation boards
  • Multimedia domain knowledge (Codecs, Color formats, Video processing algorithms)
  • Hands-on Linux experience (boot process, system internals, device drivers, DRM/KMS, V4L2, FBDEV)
  • 5-8 years of experience
Good to have:
  • C++ programming knowledge

Project description

Responsibilities

Support technical marketing teams with system design, validation, and content creation activities.

Experience working on AMD FPGAs is preferred.

Experience with standard video processing functions such as Scaling, De-interlacing, Frame-Rate Conversion, and Tone Mapping.

This should be someone helping us with multimedia system designs involving IP integration, customize device trees, develop multimedia application demos using Gstreamer or BareMetal and if needed investigate customer issues and coordinate with cross-functional teams accordingly. Review and update marketing collaterals involving multimedia IPs.

Skills

Must have

Hands-on experience with Gstreamer or any video/media framework, creating and building media pipelines with 5-8 years exp

MUST have a working knowledge of hardware evaluation boards.

Domain knowledge with Multimedia, Codecs (H.264/H.265), Color formats, Video pre/post-processing algorithms like scaler, mixer, and colour Space Conversion.

Hands-on Linux is MUST (Linux boot process and system internals or device drivers)

a. DRM/KMS: Direct Rendering Manager

b. V4L2: Video for Linux 2

c. FBDEV: Framebuffer Device

how to use the above sub-systems in user-space API.

Nice to have

Good to have C++ programming knowledge.
