Job Description:
Russell Investments is seeking an exceptional individual to work as a Video Editor to edit and produce video content in the business-to-business (B2B) financial services sector.
Telling stories via video is a crucial component of Russell Investments’ marketing efforts. We’re looking for a highly-skilled, experienced Video Editor with successful experience editing and publishing video, audio and pictures. Motion graphic skills, basic graphic design, and project management also highly desirable. Candidates must be able to multi-task and prioritize, manage a high-volume of video projects by being nimble and creative, plus a drive for testing, learning and making insight- and data-driven decisions.
Candidates will work with our existing Video Producer and will support ongoing social strategies as well as paid and organic social campaigns that impact clients and prospects globally.
Success in this role requires excellent B2B customer instincts, a keen eye for compelling and innovative video and social content and a passion for continuous improvement. You will need to possess an entrepreneurial ability to try new and different things with minimal direction while working within an established and successful marketing team.
Key Responsibilities
- Video production: You are able to direct and capture video remotely, using apps like Riverside. Working with thought-leaders and subject matter experts to deliver tight and compelling videos with a quick turnaround.
- Post-production: You are a natural storyteller. Editing videos and podcasts using the Adobe Creative Suite, adding text overlays, creating motion graphics, working iteratively with clients/stakeholders, ensuring on-time delivery and meeting quality standards.
- Motion graphics: Providing a high level of motion graphics and animation capabilities to enhance videos and work seamlessly with voiceovers, explaining complex concepts with understandable motion graphics. Must be able to work within brand guidelines.
- Managing the function of our video and podcast channels, including optimizing our YouTube channel and podcast distribution efforts through itunes, buzzsprout, and spotify. Possessing a deep understanding of the necessary gear and technology needed in the video editing process, while staying current on new trends and technology.
- A strong work ethic for managing project files and collaborating with video producers in different regions.
- Managing Feedback: Ability to work with a global team of stakeholders to incorporate feedback and deliver work in a timely fashion.
- Assisting and guiding other Russell offices in producing great videos by supporting both internal and external video resources.
- Taking headshot photographs of associates locally, and retouching photos.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- Three years’ experience in video editing and production, including project management. High comfort level in using and learning how to use a wide array of professional video and audio editing software and equipment.
- Video editing with Premiere Pro, Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop)
- Managing a YouTube Channel
- Managing a Podcast Channel (Buzzsprout, Itunes, stitcher etc.)
- Still photography with professional DSLR cameras and strobes.
- Motion graphic production utilizing After Effects
- 3+ years of marketing experience
- Experience using data and metrics to measure impact and determine improvement
- Experience supporting large-scale social media campaigns with video assets, across platforms with a track record of growing audiences and delivering on engagement metrics
- Experience collaborating with internal stakeholders and external agencies
