Job Description

The Merchandiser will be a core member of the product development team at DisneyStore, responsible for driving the business through strategic planning, product development, and management. Key responsibilities include developing products that exceed guest expectations by understanding market trends and guest behaviors. This involves planning and executing product initiatives aligned with the category strategy, collaborating with various teams (including APAC Creative, product design, and global sourcing) on pricing, procurement, and channel strategies (stores and e-commerce). The role also includes determining product assortments, placing orders, negotiating with vendors, and maximizing sales and profits for the assigned category (fashion or home goods).

Must have:

3+ years' experience in product development (manufacturer or SPA)
Experience in character product development
Vendor negotiation experience (deadlines, pricing)
Proficient in English and Native Japanese
Retail sales, procurement, inventory knowledge
Strong communication and project management skills
Microsoft Office (PPT, Excel, Word)
Passion for creating Disney-brand-suitable products

Good to have:

Experience using English in business communications
Art or design background

Disney Storeのビジネスをドライブさせる根幹は商品であり、その中核を担う商品開発チームは非常に大きな責任を伴います。その中でマーチャンダイザーとして担当カテゴリーの戦略立案、商品開発、商品マネジメントを担当頂きます。

職務内容:

ディズニーストアで販売する商品の企画開発(ゲスト動向や市場のトレンドを的確に捉え、常にゲストの期待を超える商品を提供する)
商品部のカテゴリー戦略に基づき、担当チームの商品企画の立案と実行、またプランニング、アロケーション、サプライマネジメントチームと共に価格戦略、仕入計画、チャネル計画（店舗、EC ）を立案する。
計画に基づき、商品アソートメントを決定し、発注する。取引先との条件交渉を行う。
国内外問わず他部門、他チーム(APAC Creative、プロダクトデザイン、プロダクトインテグリティ、グローバルソーシング等)と連携強化し、ビジネスを円滑に進める
担当カテゴリーの売上・利益の最大化の責任を持つ（担当カテゴリーはファッションもしくはホームを想定）

必須条件 : 求められる職務要件

３年以上のメーカーもしくはSPAでの商品開発経験
キャラクター商品の企画開発経験
取引先との折衝経験(納期、価格など)
(尚可)ビジネスにおいて英語を使用したコミュニケーションの経験
