Your New Role...

The Manager, Global Franchise is responsible for collaborating with WBD divisions and our partners to maximize the long-term value of our Global Brands and Franchises through strategy, stewardship, marketing and activation. The Manager will contribute to large projects and workstreams for Sr leadership and lead small projects and workstreams in support of the Global Franchise team. This role requires someone who is customer-obsessed, data-driven, an expert in premiere WBD franchises, such as Harry Potter, DC, Looney Tunes, Tom & Jerry and more, a big thinker who can communicate vision, translate data into action and an operator who excels at achieving goals.

Your Role Accountabilities...

  • Contributes to, the long-range strategic franchise plans to drive revenue and sustained annual growth across all lines of business, and that ultimately align with the larger WBD strategic goals and objectives.

  • Contribute workstreams, and at times lead smaller workstreams, within the development of strategic brand plans.

  • Supports, and potentially leads smaller, ad-hoc strategic brand and franchise plan initiatives to drive growth and fan engagement.

  • Utilizes strong analytic skills to measure franchise strength and identify and quantify opportunities within and across markets, to inform data-driven franchise growth plans

  • Contributes to, and at times leads, the development of presentations that influence and rally the organization around a shared vision and strategic plan, analyzing and summarizing key data, strategic business decisions and recommendations, and a roadmap to achieve franchise goals.

  • Provides answers to business questions by looking across a myriad of data sources to analyze and interpret data pulling it together into a cohesive narrative

  • Engages in the development of narrative and integrating franchise stories across all franchise touchpoints in the flywheel and WBD businesses (e.g., Consumer Products, Global Themed Entertainment, Games, Studio Tours, Content)

  • Engages in the development of franchise marketing programs, from ideation and agency engagement through to execution. Leading workstreams within programs or leading smaller programs

  • Engages in the development of social media strategies, in coordination with agencies and social media team to support WBD franchises and drive fan engagement.

  • Engages in governance of the canon, working closely with creative directors to ensure that story is at the heart of everything we do and develop.

  • Be a steward of the brand, ensuring brand excellence and consistency, facilitating the exchange of knowledge and best practices across Divisions, Partners, and Territories, and driving synergies across the flywheel.

Qualifications & Experience...

Work Experience

  • Minimum of 3-5 years experience working on a brand, franchise marketing, integrated marketing, brand analytics or brand and franchise management

  • Experience bringing content to life through product innovation and experiences

  • Experience conducting data driven analyses to inform business decisions

  • Proven success in project management and execution required

Education, Professional Training, Technical Training or Certification

  • 4 yr college degree required

  • MBA or similar preferred

Knowledge/Skills

  • Ability to convert story and narrative to product and experiences

  • Ability to think strategically in planning across consumer touch points

  • Excellent project management, prioritization and planning skills

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.Proven track-record in communicating with all levels of staff, internal divisions and external stakeholders

  • Strong presentation skills

  • Strong analytic skills, ability to analyze and synthetize data across disparate sources to answer a business question

  • Ability to tell narrative story through data

  • Strong interpersonal skills, maturity and excellent judgment.

  • Strong at managing workflow to meet tight deadlines while handling high volume of work. Attention to detail

  • Ability to work under pressure while maintaining a positive and productive demeanor

  • High proficiency with MS Office products

  • High proficiency in data analytics, including advanced Excel, SPSS, Nielsen of similar expertise

Actual salaries will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to external market data, internal equity, location, skill set, experience, and/or performance. Base pay is just one component of Warner Bros. Discovery’s total compensation package for employees. Pay Range: $83,090.00 - $154,310.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros. Discovery provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and sick time and vacation.
