Overview:

 

Responsible for the Computer Operations Department and all services rendered.  This position is responsible for various aspects of team management, budgeting, disaster recovery, capacity planning, hardware/software maintenance, incident, problem, change and security management.   This position is also responsible for enforcing all policies and procedures designed to meet established goals and objectives according to the Service Level Agreement (SLA).
 

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

 


•    Manage the team of 15+ Computer Operators and System Analysts supervising and providing service of the systems operations for Company customers to assure compliance with established schedules and objectives.
•    Coordinate and control workforce utilization and timely, cost-effective scheduling of resources in support of services.
•    Improving the qualifications of the operations staff: preparation and conducting of internal trainings, organization of external trainings.
•    Design, develop, adjust and administer procedures for Computer Operations.
•    Evaluate, review and recommend Computer Operations personnel for: promotions, changes in duty, transfers, salary changes, performance reviews, termination and recruitments
•    Securing comfortable working conditions for the operations personnel in accordance with local law.

•    Perform the role of Facilities Manager for Data Center.
•    Supervising the secure installation and/or changes of hardware, system operating software, application software, network software/hardware and other products.
•    Coordinating the repairs and maintenance of all the Data Center equipment. Interface with all maintenance vendors; review and maintain all system /network / facilities maintenance contracts.

•    Perform the role of Security Manager and Business Continuity Manager maintain all external accreditations. Ensuring secure data transfer and collection. 
•    Maintaining contacts with the Customers representatives; informing them in detail on the service of the system. Act as primary contact for Customer personnel to maintain good working relationships. 
•    Ensuring constant communications with the Customer personnel; providing them with counseling service.
•    Conducting and participating in local and global projects, process modeling for new projects and new customers.
 

Minimum knowledge and skills requirements:

 

•    University degree in a computer related discipline and preferable experience in Computer Operations or IT support team
•    Experience (min. 2-4 years) in team management.
•    Demonstrate high flexibility and good communication in English.
•    Strong verbal and written communication skills.
•    Effective technical writing skills.
•    Self-motivated, demonstrates initiative.
•    Stress resistance and ability to perform under pressure.
•    Able to balance priorities amongst all stakeholders.
•    Advanced knowledge of IT best practices and associated tools related to Incident, Change, Release, Audit, and Problem Management.
•    Knowledge of ITIL practices and standards.
•    Knowledge of information security management system ISMS and ISO-27001, SOC standards.

Additional preferred skills and knowledge:

 

•    Strong trouble-shooting and incident resolution skills.
•    Working knowledge of IBM products – servers, DB2, middleware and monitoring applications.
•    Working knowledge of Cisco products – routers, switches, firewalls, SolarWinds app etc.
•    Knowledge of VMware and Linux.
•    Understanding of communication technologies TCP/IP, LAN/WAN etc.
•    Knowledge of Data Center network equipment like AC, UPS, fire suppression systems etc.
•    Knowledge of ISO-20000 standards.
