Summary

The IT Systems Management Analyst will play a key role in the modernization of UnitedHealth Group's legacy IT infrastructure. Responsibilities include all phases of software packaging (requirements analysis, design, development, and testing), creating user documentation and training materials, troubleshooting production support issues, and recommending solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with Windows 10, MSI packaging, scripting (VBScript, PowerShell), and deployment tools. This role is crucial for migrating on-premise systems to the cloud, enhancing flexibility, speed, and stability for end-users.
Must have:
  • 4-6 years exp. in Application packaging, Windows Installer, Admin Studio
  • Windows 10 OS expertise (File System, Registry, Services)
  • Admin Studio & Install Shield knowledge
  • VB Script, PowerShell, WISE Scripting
  • MSI packaging best practices
  • Troubleshooting packaging, deployment & system issues
Good to have:
  • MAC Packaging and OS experience
  • Healthcare industry experience
  • Group Policy & Active Directory
  • Citrix Server packaging & deployment
  • AppSense profile & rights management

Project description

Enterprise Technology Infrastructure, Platforms & Services (ETIPS) is leading the modernization of UnitedHealth Group legacy and on-prem landscape with a thoughtful migration to the cloud to help create more flexibility for speed and stability for end users. As the owner of ETIPS technology portfolio, we are exploring new ways of delivering these investments and seeking a strategic partnership to co-deliver and accelerate our ambitious and innovative agenda. Vendor will provide technology services for Core Technology components

Responsibilities

Perform all phases of Software Packaging, including requirements analysis, Package design, development and testing.

Provide input into and/or create and execute user documentation and training material.

Excellent understanding of the configuration and function of MS Windows File System, Registry, Software Packaging and scripting skills to facilitate custom installation requirements.

Troubleshoot production support issues post-deployment and recommend solutions as required.

Excellent communication (oral and written), interpersonal, organizational, and presentation skills.

Must understand MSI packaging best practices and standards.

Skills

Must have

4-6 years of Experience in Application packaging, Windows Installer, Admin Studio.

Windows 10 OS (full knowledge of OS operations, File System Registry, Services and DLL's).

Knowledge on Admin Studio and Install Shield

Knowledge on VB Script, PowerShell Script, WISE Script

Experience creating custom scripts to drive installs, uninstalls, custom actions and system management.

Basic Knowledge on Deployment tools

Ticketing tools like ServiceNow.

Must understand a standard packaging process and workflow.

Must understand MSI packaging best practices and standards.

Must be able to troubleshoot Packaging, Deployment and System issues.

Nice to have

MAC Packaging and OS experience

Experience in the health care industry

Group Policy & Active Directory

PowerShell, VBScript, and batch scripting languages

Software Packaging and Deployment for Citrix Servers

Ability to build automation tools that simplify and make the packaging process more efficient for packagers.

Experience with AppSense profile and rights management products or equivalent.
