What You’ll Do

The lab’s mission is to drive multi-disciplinary innovation for industry leadership and superior display products. The Samsung Display America Lab Head will lead the development of next generation microdisplay technology. The Display Lab Leader will lead innovative research initiatives in microdisplays, optics, and standardization. This role is pivotal in expanding our capabilities in AI applications for display technologies while ensuring optimal performance and uniformity in display systems. They will lead research efforts focused on AI applications in micro displays, driving the expansion of knowledge in this emerging field.

  • Oversee lens-panel interaction analysis to enhance display performance and improve uniformity across products.
  • Develop and implement standardization processes for display technologies in XR, IT, AI, and automotive applications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of R&D projects with organizational goals.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, encouraging team members to explore cutting-edge display technologies.
  • Present research findings and strategic insights to stakeholders, including executive leadership.
  • Manage lab operations, including resource allocation, project timelines, and team performance.

What You Bring

  • Ph.D. in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, Physics, or equivalent.
  • Extensive experience leading display R&D projects, specifically in OLED, micro displays, and optics.
  • Deep understanding of the display industry and current technologies.
  • In-depth knowledge of AI technology and its applications in display systems.
  • Proven leadership capabilities, with excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to operate a lab organization effectively, fostering collaboration and innovation.

Individual pay rates depend on a number of factors—including the role’s function and location, as well as the individual’s knowledge, skills, experience, education, and training. Base Pay Range

$250,000 - $350,000 USD
