About Big Farmer and TrailerFarm

Big Farmer is an award-winning creative powerhouse for gaming, entertainment and beyond. We’re the team behind the Clio award winning trailer for Blanc, the trio of campaign trailers for Still Wakes The Deep, the dimension-bending Level Infinite showcase at Gamescom 2024, the CG opener for the Helldivers 2 launch trailer and much more. We dream, design and deliver some of the coolest projects in the industry using our expertise in games engines, cinematics, and virtual production.

On the TrailerFarm side, our amazing team focus exclusively on crafting impactful creative for game makers and marketers. We have made trailers for Fall Guys, PowerWash Simulator, TMNT Splintered Fate, Adopt Me and many more. TrailerFarm has been making waves in the games industry since 2011 and our work has been recognised with many awards, from the TIGA UK Games Industry Awards to the Global Entertainment Awards.

We are looking for a Head of Client Services to sit across two incredible games brands – Big Farmer and TrailerFarm, to oversee the commercial team in delivering a pipeline of projects, clients and capability-opportunities to drive revenue growth.

Working closely with the Group Commercial Director to forecast, budget and strategise, the HoCS is someone with a strong commercial background in account management and new business, with a solid understanding of the media landscape as a whole. They can confidently and competently present the studio’s capabilities in any context to create opportunities and build successful long-term relationships with clients, as well as manage a commercial team of varying levels to deliver on the commercial objectives of Big Farmer and TrailerFarm.

Responsibilities:

Sales Strategy:

  • Develop and oversee the execution of a sales and client growth strategy that aligns with BF/TF’s goals and targets
  • Identify and align client needs with BF/TF’s capabilities

Client Engagement:

  • Cultivate and nurture relationships with existing clients to identify opportunities to upsell while actively seeking opportunities to establish new partnerships
  • Build and maintain high level, long term client relationships with key stakeholders
  • Promote BF/TF activity to contacts
  • Secure prospective clients’ interest through engaging presentation and competent discussion, resulting in pitch opportunities for the studio

Business Development:

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, leveraging your industry knowledge and network to expand BF/TF’s presence
  • Seek out and explore new potential revenue streams from technological and service advancements and adjacent markets
  • Attend relevant industry events, ensuring successful follow up

Pipeline Management:

  • Manage the commercial pipeline to ensure a steady flow of potential projects

Collaboration:

  • Work with the internal brand/marketing team to create and maintain collateral that benefits the sales effort including decks, case studies, website updates, mailers, professional network posts etc.
  • Be the key contact point for Keywords-generated presentation/portfolio opportunities, and qualify requests to ensure they are beneficial to the studio goals and realistic in expectation
  • Work with the Creative Services Director and Production Director to define the resource requirements for pitches, and capacity for projects within the pipeline to ensure we can meet client expectations, and ensure the commercial team are effectively resourcing for their pitches/projects ahead of agreeing to undertake them

Market and Studio Insights:

  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and client needs to provide valuable insights for business growth
  • Have a good grasp of internal resources and capacity to manage early client expectations effectively

Sales Reporting:

  • Provide sales reports, forecasts, and pipeline insights to inform strategic decisions for studio leadership
  • Annual budget planning for studio revenue and commercial spend
  • Analyse and interrogate weekly pipeline reports to ensure information is correct for other teams’ requirements

Team Management:

  • Line management of the Commercial Team (currently 2x Exec Producers, 1x Senior Account Manager, 2x Hybrid Commercial Producers and 1x Commercial Assistant) including mentorship, appraisals and objective management, as well as day-to-day oversight
