Synonymous Job Title: Finance Manager

Location: Scottsdale, AZ (strongly preferred) (or) Dallas, TX - this is a hybrid role that will be primarily virtual, but with local in-office presence as well.
 

Overview:
Blue Yonder is seeking a highly skilled and experienced FinOps Manager (aka Finance Manager) specializing in Azure Cost Management to join our team. In this role, you will lead efforts to optimize Azure cloud expenditures, develop cost models, and provide actionable insights to support strategic financial decisions. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in financial operations, Azure cost management, and strong technical skills in Excel & Power BI.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Azure & Snowflake cost management strategy to optimize cloud expenditures and ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Utilize technical skills in Azure & Snowflake to analyze, monitor, and report on cloud costs, identifying opportunities for optimization.
  • Collaborate with R&D and operations teams to develop financial models related to Azure cost optimization initiatives.
  • Provide insights into financial performance and cost drivers, contributing to strategic decision-making.
  • Develop insights for cost optimization strategies such as right-sizing resources, eliminating idle resources etc.
  • Work closely with Product Development teams to align resources with operational needs.
  • Utilize cost monitoring data for creating meaningful insights and reports to support decision-making.
  • Manage Azure cost budgets and alerts, ensuring adherence to financial plans.
  • Develop and maintain financial reports on Azure costs, providing regular updates to leadership and stakeholders.
  • Communicate insights derived from financial data in a clear and actionable manner.
  • Engage with third party vendors to optimize pricing models and stay informed about changes in their services.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in financial operations, infrastructure cost management, or related roles.
  • Proven expertise in Azure & Snowflake cost management.
  • Proficiency in Azure cost management tools (e.g., Azure Cost Management + Billing), license management tools, and Snowflake cost management tools. Strong analytical skills with experience in financial modeling and analysis.
  • Strong Excel skills for data analysis and querying.
  • Experience using Power BI for data visualization.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

The base salary for this role is $105,000.00 to $120,000.00 plus a 12% annual bonus.

The salary range information provided, reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data.  Minimums and maximums may vary based on location.  Individual salary will be commensurate with skills, experience, certifications or licenses and other relevant factors.  In addition, this role will be eligible to participate in either the annual performance bonus or commission program, determined by the nature of the position.
