Job Description

Tesla is seeking a Field Service Technician in Kristiansand, Norway to maintain their Energy Storage and Supercharger network. Responsibilities include on-site installation, commissioning, repair, and maintenance of these systems. Troubleshooting, root-cause analysis (remotely and on-site), and stakeholder management are key aspects of the role. The technician will also collaborate with engineering teams, prepare technical activities, and travel domestically and internationally as needed. Experience in electrical engineering, particularly with low- and medium-voltage systems (high voltage a plus), is essential. Excellent communication skills, independent work ethic, and fluency in Norwegian and English are required.

What to Expect

As a Field Service Technician in our Energy and Charging Field Service team, you will play a vital role in making sure both our Renewable Energy Storage products and our Superchargers are operating at their best. In your day-to-day responsibilities, you will be travelling to sites and perform preventive maintenance, upgrades, troubleshooting and repairs along with commissioning activities across various locations within Norway. What You’ll Do

Perform all on-site technical activities: related to the installation, commissioning, repair, maintenance of our Energy storage and Supercharging network in Kristiansand and abroad when needed
Troubleshoot: and perform root-cause analysis, both remotely and on-site
Stakeholder managment: Act as the first point of contact to contractors
Team work: recurring issues and provide feedback to the engineering teams
Organizational tasks: prepare, organize, and plan your own technical activities

What You’ll Bring

Experience as a technician in the electrical engineering field
Experience with Low- and Medium Voltage electrical systems, High Voltage is a plus
A passion for renewable energy
Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently, motivated and a proactive attitude
Flexible towards travelling
Fluency in Norwegian and a good command of English
An EU passport or work permit is needed for this position
