The Facilities Tech II assists with general facility maintenance, including patching, painting, repairs, demolition, and building temporary walls. Responsibilities encompass groundskeeping (pressure washing, snow removal, etc.), assisting contractors, triaging HVAC issues, responding to emergencies, utilizing a scissor lift, replacing light fixtures, making minor plumbing repairs, assisting with moves, installing fixtures, running errands, transporting goods, and repairing company property. The role requires managing multiple tasks, working under pressure, using various tools, and maintaining facility cleanliness. The ideal candidate possesses 5+ years of facility maintenance experience, handyman skills, and knowledge of basic facility construction.

Position Summary

 Job Duties / Key Accountabilities:

  • Assist with general & detail patching and painting
  • Repair, and/or removal, demolition, building temporary walls
  • May assist with maintaining general facility cleanliness, including exterior grounds, pressure washing, smoke receptacle waste, shovel snow, spread ice melt, using a blower for grounds and roof cleaning and changing exterior trash receptacles
  • May be requested to assistance to outside contractors and vendors as needed, including escorting and supervising vendors and contractors
  • Triage small HVAC issues
  • Assists with maintaining building functionality and immediately responds to building emergencies in a timely manner
  • Utilize scissor lift to reach high places
  • Monitors and replace light bulbs and ballasts in all facilities, as needed
  • Assist and make minor plumbing repairs, as necessary
  • Assists with departmental and employee moves
  • Hangs pictures and shelving, dry erase boards, signs, company branding, etc.
  • Dismantles, install, assemble, and move furniture
  • Run errands with company vehicle
  • Transports goods or equipment though out facility as assigned
  • Repairs and maintains company property, roof leaks and fixtures
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multi-functional tasks
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and against strict time constraints
  • Ability to use standard powered and non-powered tools
  • Performs immediate cleaning duties necessary to maintain facility integrity
  • Performs other maintenance duties as assigned


Qualifications:

A minimum 5 years of Facility Punch Out experience with hands on knowledge of handyman skills and basic knowledge of facility construction.

  • Work experience related to facilities maintenance.
  • Must have the ability to work a flexible schedule, to include after-hours weekends and the ability to be on call, to respond to emergencies.
  • Must be able to utilize a PC and/or monitor to manage emails.
  • Must be able to utilize work order system/software.
  • Must be comfortable and able to work on a ladder of 20 feet.
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to work independently without direct supervision.
  • Must be able to travel to various work-site locations on demand.
  • Must have a valid GA Driver’s License
