Engineering Manager

We have an exciting opportunity to join our Engineering team in Sydney and are currently looking for an Engineering Manager to join the team.

In terms of our tech stack, we host our docker containerised apps on AWS, sometimes in ECS but moving to EKS Kubernetes. In the containers, we run Kotlin on the JVM. TypeScript runs our client side where it’s mostly React. Our databases are PostgreSQL and DynamoDB with Snowflake as our Data warehouse

What you will bring to the role:

• 8 years + of engineering experience, including roles as an Engineering Manager or similar leadership positions
• Experience building and leading high performing teams
• Experience integrating diverse platforms
• Extensive knowledge of cloud-based computing (we’re AWS hosted)
• Deep and broad technical skills, and a desire to stay technically hands-on
• Good understanding of software engineering fundamentals like continuous integration and delivery, separation of concerns, source control, testing and system design/architecture.
• Excellent debugging and troubleshooting skills. 
• Empathy and a willingness to support, guide and mentor your team and their career development
• A product mindset with excellent stakeholder management skills
