Electrical Assembler

Peterborough, ON

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Electrical Assembler to join the team. As part of the Electrical Technicians function, the job essentially follows electrical assembly drawings, cable diagrams, and with the use of some mechanical assembly drawings, allow an Electrical Technician to build and install electrical parts and components onto Rolls-Royce machinery

Innovation is our DNA at Rolls-Royce.  At our Peterborough, Ontario location we develop custom electro-mechanical solutions for our Naval Defence and Marine customers.

Key accountabilities:

  • Ability to read and understand electrical schematics and installation diagrams.
  • Assemble cable and Wire harnesses as per electrical drawings.
  • Maintain a safe and tidy workplace to minimize the risk of an accident or injury.
  • Build electrical cabinets and junction boxes in accordance with Electrical Assembly Drawings.
  • Follow mechanical/electrical assembly drawings to install junction boxes, cabinets and cables, on and around mechanical parts.

Basic Requirements:

  • Electrical Technologist Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 5 years experience working in a related field

Preferred Requirements:

  • Attention to detail.
  • Multi-tasking and working under deadlines.
  • Ability to work alone or as part of an integrated team.
  • Excellent organization skills.
  • Ability/willingness to perform field service work.
