Job Summary:

The person in this position will be part of The Walt Disney Company’s (TWDC) Global Public Policy team responsible for the company’s public policy and government relations activities in Korea. This will include collaboration with Disney’s business leadership team in Korea and representing the company with policymakers on key issues related to TWDC’s various lines of business in Korea.

This position is with The Walt Disney Company (Korea) Limited, which is part of a business segment we call The Walt Disney Company (Corporate).

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain an expertise in the policy environment affecting TWDC’s business in Korea
  • Analyze new government policies and Korea’s political and economic dynamics
  • Liaise internally with business leads and other functions such as the legal and communications teams
  • Grow and maintain networks with policymakers along with trade and industry associations
  • Develop strategies to further sound policymaking and regulation Implement stakeholder engagement initiatives

Qualifications:

  • 12+ years of experience working on media, internet, telecom policy issues for companies and/or government or relevant industry associations
  • Demonstrated expertise in relevant issues and experience leading engagement with policymakers
  • Bachelor’s degree or above; MBA or law degree helpful
  • Strong communications skills and writing ability in both Korean and English
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment and strong track record of executing across functions
  • A team player and ability to exercise good judgement
  • Proactive and self-motivated
  • Strong work ethic
