Summary

We're looking for an experienced Director of Software Engineering to join our Nanolog team. Reporting to the Sr Director, you'll be responsible for:

  • Managing a rapidly growing software engineering team of strong individual contributors.
  • Review architecture and code for the engineers to alling with long term platform capabilities and ensure performance, security, scale, reliability, operational and cost optimization criteria are met.
  • Create quality process and computing initiatives throughout the product lifecycle to eliminate architecture, design, and coding defects at the source.

What We're Looking for (Minimum Qualifications)

  • 15 years of overall experience and 3+ years of managing a team of engineers working in in databases, cloud or distributed domains.
  • Experience in developing and managing large-scale highly available distributed systems/database kernels in C language.
  • Software development experience in large-scale distributed systems/database kernels.
  • To motivate team members on technical discussions including architectural and design guidelines, code reviews and release process.
  • Experience working collaborative with teams like QA, Product Management, and Support.

What Will Make You Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)

  • Experience with Unix / Linux based solutions.
  • Experience in developing database systems and compilers
  • Experience with design / architectural patterns and automation platforms.
