The U.S. TV Brand Marketing group supports the Distribution and Syndication teams in positioning, launching, and supporting all sales priorities. Located in Culver City, the Director of US Distribution Marketing is responsible for driving and overseeing the marketing initiatives to build awareness and increase viewership of Sony Pictures Entertainment’s  portfolio of content across all platforms, including Cable, SVOD, and AVOD.

Core Responsibilities

  • Develop and produce multi-platform marketing campaigns across Paid, Digital, and Social Media, working with internal and external agencies, finding new and innovative tactics to promote all titles. Collaborate with US Distribution Sales to align priorities and sales strategies for creation of all sales pitch materials. Create key sales materials, including presentation decks and sizzle reels, in support of US Distribution Sales efforts.
  • Operate as brand manager for assigned list of titles, guiding and reviewing all assets created by platform clients and internal partners.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key distribution clients, becoming an expert on the clients’ business practices and needs.
  • Forge and maintain collaborative cross-company relationships by staying aligned with multiple teams, including Creative Content, Publicity, Legal, Research, Franchise, Digital Marketing, Music, and Consumer Products.

Job Requirements

Education, Years of Experience, Specialized Knowledge or Skills Required:

  • BA/BS degree in Marketing or related field
  • 10 years of experience in the Entertainment Industry.

  • Excellent written and presentation skills
  • Proficient at time management
  • Strong project management skills
  • Should have deep understanding of the TV broadcasting and streaming business landscape
  • Passionate content consumer
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills
  • Possesses high standards of professionalism and leadership

The anticipated base salary for this position is $130,962 to $170,250. This role may also qualify for annual incentive and/or comprehensive benefits. The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location of the position.
