Job Description

Medscape, a division of WebMD, is seeking an integrated content producer to conceive, curate, and create content packages targeting specific high-value audiences. This role will leverage analytics, AI, and other technology-led tools to develop content that extends the value across Medscape and WebMD while growing engagement across a range of audience segments. Responsibilities include working with editors, content creators, marketing, designers, analytics, and sales to ideate, produce, and market high-performing content packages. The ideal candidate will possess innovative thinking, AI facility, outstanding storytelling skills, and an understanding of the needs of physicians across the field of medicine.

Must have:

Bachelor's degree in journalism or related field
1-2 years of project management experience
1-2 years of marketing or agency experience
5-7 years of experience as a digital editor
Proven ability using AI to create content
Proven ability to manage geographically diverse teams
Excellent attention to detail
Superior organizational skills
Comfort working on deadline in a virtual environment

Good to have:

Experience with content management systems and project management systems
Fluency in multiple languages

Medscape, a division of WebMD, develops and hosts physician portals and related mobile applications that make it easier for physicians and healthcare professionals to access clinical reference sources, stay abreast of the latest clinical information, learn about new treatment options, earn continuing medical education credits and communicate with peers.

Position Summary

Medscape is seeking an integrated content producer to conceive, curate and create content packages targeting specific high-value audiences from ideation through to on-site/ on-app execution. This role will heavily leverage analytics, AI, and other technology-led tools to develop packages that extend the value of content across Medscape and WebMD while growing engagement across a range of audience segments. Duties include working with editors, content creators, marketing, designers, analytics and sales to ideate, produce and market high-performing content packages. This position will work with a geographically distributed team and reports to the Executive Director of Editorial.

The position requires innovative thinking, AI facility, outstanding storytelling skills, as well as an understanding of the needs of physicians across the field of medicine. Creativity, unconventional thinking, news and marketing judgment, AI prompt-writing experience and an understanding of performance analytics are critical to the success of this position. The role requires both independence and deep teamwork; a high level of organization; the ability to meet tight deadlines; and the ability to collaborate with a large, fast-moving team in a virtual and distributed environment.

This role is based in El Segundo, Calif.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsibilities include:

Leverage data and analytics on both audience and performance to identify content gaps and opportunities
Working with other producers, editors, marketers, and designers to conceive and create packages and supporting content
Use AI to ideate and as an integral part of your content creation toolkit
Work across teams in all geographies
Create, assign, and edit pieces for accuracy, readability, and audience segment alignment
Execute new editorial programs as outlined by senior editorial leadership

REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor's degree in journalism or related field, or equivalent professional experience
1-2 years of project management experience
1-2 years of marketing or agency experience
5-7 years of experience as a digital editor in branded or other content; experience in health content for a professional audience is required
Proven ability using AI to create content
Proven ability to manage geographically diverse teams
Ability to work collaboratively
Excellent attention to detail; superior organizational skills
Comfort working on deadline in a virtual environment
Experience with content management systems and project management systems (Workfront) preferred but not required
Fluency in multiple languages a plus

This role will be in office, out of our El Segundo, Ca, Atlanta, GA or Newark, NJ locations.

Salary $80,-000 - $125,000
