As a Desktop Support Administrator, you’ll be the first line of defense on the Help Desk team! You'll work on a 12-month fixed term contract, based in our Burnaby office. Your role includes ensuring smooth operations and resolving IT issues across our growing studio at SkyBox Labs. Your role includes working on a variety of technical challenges, from hardware setups to software troubleshooting, directly impacting the productivity and success of our employees and the studio as a whole.

A snapshot of your role:

    • Be the first point of contact on the internal Help Desk team, resolving IT issues and queries efficiently across the studio for in-studio and remote employees
    • Diagnose and resolve technical issues across various platforms, minimizing downtime across the studio 
    • Set up and maintain hardware, including PCs, laptops, and peripherals
    • Manage IT assets, inventory, and user accounts
    • Collaborate with teams to streamline IT processes and improve efficiency
    • Support user onboarding and offboarding, ensuring a seamless experience 
    • Use your positive energy, sharp problem-solving skills, and clear communication to support individuals and the studio as a whole

Sound like you? This is what we're looking for:

    • 1-3 years of IT support experience
    • Strong technical knowledge, including Windows 10/11, Google Suite, Office 365, macOS, Active Directory, and an IT Ticketing system
    • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, including written and verbal
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
    • A positive attitude and a passion for technology

    • Nice-to-Haves:
    • Experience with gaming hardware and software
    • IT diploma or certification (e.g. CompTIA)

    • This role requires fully in-studio work, with potential for one remote work day per week, subject to manager approval.
