Purpose of the role

The Customer Program Manager (CPM) has the ownership of the operational strategy and translate the commitment to the customers in execution across Ocean and Logistics and is responsible for implementing new and additional business with the customer. The CPM applies awareness of the customer´s supply chain to drive improvements and efficiencies creating value to the customer and Maersk.

Key Responsibilities

Strategy:

  • Understanding of the customer´s supply chain strategy and needs.
  • Support the CPD within input to the joint strategic roadmap.
  • Identify efficiency and optimization initiatives to increase profitability/reduce cost to serve.
  • Digital transformation/new system implementation.
  • Create a Maersk community around the account and create awareness of the customer.

Selling:

  • Uncover customer pain points/supply chain challenges and define initiatives to address/eliminate same.

Delivering: 

  • Monitor service delivery performance within scope assigned (Geographical/products) and provide oversight to CPD.
  • Resolve operational escalations.
  • Engage with 3rd party/non-Maersk partners (Customer suppliers, partners, services providers and vendors).
  • Ensure foundation in place to deliver (eg. SOPs, Origin Workshops, etc).
  • Support new/additional business is implemented.
  • Ensure FINSOP and relevant financial measures are effectively managed.
  • Ensure access to correct, rates, information and contacts on all third party (non-Maersk) suppliers and partners.
