Job Description

As a Customer Engineer, Security, you'll work with leading companies using Google Cloud, focusing on making their work more productive and collaborative. You'll assist sales teams by resolving technical issues, liaise with product teams, and identify business opportunities. Responsibilities include partnering with sales teams, driving technical aspects of solutions (meetings, demos, briefings), leveraging knowledge of Google Cloud Security products to build integrations and demos, conveying the value proposition of Google Cloud Security solutions, and traveling to customer sites and events. You'll work closely with SMB and Field Sales Engineering, Inside Sales, and Sales Development teams.
Must have:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 6+ years in technical sales engineering (security or cloud)
  • Experience with cybersecurity solutions (SIEM/SOAR, Threat Intelligence, Cloud Security)
  • Experience selling security consulting services
  • Partner with sales teams to qualify opportunities
  • Deliver technical presentations and demos
Good to have:
  • Master's degree in CS, Engineering, or Mathematics
  • Cloud or Security certifications
  • Experience implementing enterprise security solutions
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity market trends
  • Understanding of solution architecture in web/mobile environments
  • Familiarity with large-scale distributed systems and ML/big data

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 6 years of experience in a technical sales engineering role in security or cloud native environments.
  • Experience in cybersecurity technical solutions: SIEM/SOAR (EDR, XDR), Threat Intelligence (threat detection, malware intelligence, attack surface management), Cloud Security (CSPM, CWPP, CNAPP, or identity and access management systems).
  • Experience in selling security consulting services.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Mathematics.
  • Cloud or Security industry certifications.
  • Experience in implementing security solutions for enterprises (e.g., SIEM/SOAR, threat detection and hunting, malware intelligence, cloud security posture management, or identity and access management systems).
  • Knowledge of product and solution market trends in the cybersecurity industry.
  • Understanding of solution architecture within web and mobile environments and of web/internet related technologies, architecture across SAAS, PAAS and IAAS and cloud productivity suites.
  • Familiarity with architecture and operational aspects of large scale distributed systems. Familiarity with the popular technologies in the machine learning/big data ecosystem.

  • Partner closely with Small- and Medium business (SMB) and Field Sales Engineering, Inside Sales, and Sales Development teams to identify and technically qualify opportunities.
  • Drive technical aspects of solutions, including customer meetings, product demonstrations, and executive briefings.
  • Leverage in-depth knowledge of Google Cloud Security products to build integrations, proofs-of-concept, and compelling demos for customers and partners.
  • Effectively convey the value proposition of Google Cloud Security solutions through presentations, product demonstrations, white papers, trial management, and response documents.
  • Travel to customer sites, conferences, and relevant events to represent the technical capabilities of Google Cloud Security as required.
