The On Location Legal Department is currently seeking a Counsel to support, primarily, the FIFA World Cup 26™ Official Hospitality Program. In this role you will draft and negotiate a wide range of complex commercial contracts, including consulting, master services, talent, influencer, licensing, creative services, sponsorship, vendor, marketing, digital services, rental, venue, location, and production agreements, as well as statements of work, participation and guest releases, photo releases, and waivers. In supporting the FIFA World Cup 2026 legal needs you must act with urgency to align with the business needs while ensuring compliance with On Location’s and TKO’s standards and legal requirements. Overtime, this position will potentially expand to coverage of additional On Location business lines/ programs. This position will be located in Philadelphia, PA, New York, NY or Los Angeles, CA and reports to the department’s Vice President & Counsel.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide daily legal support for FIFA World Cup 2026 legal requirements.
Provide overflow legal support for other On Location legal needs when required.
Draft and negotiate a wide range of complex commercial contracts, including consulting, master services, talent, influencer, licensing, creative services, sponsorship, vendor, marketing, digital services, rental, venue, location, and production agreements, as well as statements of work, participation and guest releases, photo releases, and waivers.
Coordinate with business, finance, and compliance departments to assist with deal development. Be a voice of reason on all legal matters.
Implement and refine policies and procedures to ensure efficient and effective contract-administration and document-management processes
Provide real-time analysis and advice on business and legal issues, including questions of contract interpretation and enforcement
Draft and review contracts and contract templates required for FIFA World Cup 2026.
Follow up on the execution and delivery of contracts and other associated paperwork and manage the storage of all executed contracts with the support of other legal team members.
Work with various departments in managing the timely review and approvals of contracts and tracking projects
Perform various basic research assignments
Work closely with various departments and individual project managers on contract and administrative matters
QUALIFICATIONS:
JD from an ABA accredited law school
Admitted to the bar in the applicable jurisdiction and in good standing
Experience in law firm, in-house legal or other equivalent experience preferred
Minimum of 3-5 years of legal experience, with some experience in the entertainment, sports, or media industry preferred but not required
Ability to handle ambiguity and change while prioritizing and managing multiple assignments simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
Must be detail oriented, highly organized, and thorough
Demonstrated ability to evaluate risk, advise various business units of the risks, and exercise sound legal judgment
Excellent interpersonal and written and oral communication skills that will enable interaction with a range of seniority levels and styles in a fast-paced business environment (including explaining legal concepts to colleagues who may have limited legal knowledge and time)
Have an effective solution-oriented problem-solving approach to legal issues and a strong work ethic
Must have an intermediate or advanced skill level with all Microsoft Office software (e.g., Excel), PDF editing, fluent in either Mac or Windows operating systems
Ability to multitask and function efficiently with tight deadlines
Demonstrated ability to work under pressure, understand changing department and company priorities and process large amounts of information
Strong organizational and communication skills
Communicates effectively with internal and external clients
