We are looking to hire a Community Specialist to join our growing Communications Team! Our team’s area of responsibility encompasses all aspects of external communications by ourselves or in collaboration with external partners.
You will be responsible for building relationships and executing community and social media engagement strategies, focused on player acquisition and retention, on behalf of the studio and our growing set of IP’s. It’s important you are directly involved with not only building long and short-term community strategies and implementation thereof, but also interacting with the community on behalf of 11 bit studios – inclusive of updates, requests, and addressing questions – through various media channels.

Responsibilities:
In collaboration with the Social Media Team, strategize social media tactics that connect fans with the game and craft engaging and informative content to cultivate the community on various social media platforms,
Build relationships with community partners; identify and foster relationships with advocates and passionate influencers to amplify our campaigns,
Monitor online discussions and events to ensure 11 bit studios and our portfolio is participating and represented, including responding opportunistically or reactively as the situation requires,
Acts as the community’s voice and advocate within the development team, and helps our teams ensure that 11 bit studios is listening to and reacting appropriately to player feedback,
Be the community expert on the team, able to help the team decide what is most important to players and help in brainstorming and creating assets that appeal to our fanbase,
Leverage Marketing & Communications team, development teams and relevant partner resources to create meaningful content for our players (example: behind the scenes content, interviews, infographics, & more).
Develop a reporting process for internal teams and stakeholders including overall sentiment, engagement, measurement for tactics, and other community highlights showcasing our studio or IP, as requested, to influence game experiences, stimulate user retention, and assist in positioning messaging and marketing beats,
Operate with an ROI-centric mindset by making calculated decisions that promote efficiency while remaining strategic with available resources,
Identify and capitalize on opportunities for synergies between cross-functional teams.
Job requirements:
Minimum 3 years of experience in gaming community management and/or mixed experience in communications with large consumer/gaming studios,
Extensive knowledge of social & community platforms (Discord, Reddit, X, TikTok, blogs etc.) is required. Knowledge of third-party social tools for content management, listening, and analytics is appreciated.
Strong social networks/community knowledge and passion for games,
Excellent command of English (C1+) — both written and spoken.
Ability to work independently
Comfortable working in graphic and video design software, such as Adobe Photoshop/Premiere, Illustrator, Premiere, etc., in order to create and publish art assets,
Extensive experience managing online communities with demonstrable success,
Know-how in the gaming industry with multiple gaming platforms, genres, and game launches.
Experience working in a demanding environment, with multiple deadlines, objectives, and stakeholders.
Strong understanding of building and maintaining the growth of video game communities.
