Summary

The Cloud Close and Reporting Analyst at Google supports the month-end and quarter-end close process for Cloud Controllership, ensuring timely and accurate reporting. Must have:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent experience
  • 4 years of accounting experience (or 1 year with advanced degree)
  • Month-end/quarter-end close support
  • Data analysis and visualization skills
  • Proficiency in SQL and SAP
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

  • Experience building financial dashboards
  • Public accounting or audit experience
  • Experience with large multinational organizations

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4 years of experience in accounting or a related function, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree in Accounting, Business, or Finance.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in building financial dashboards and visualizing data.
  • Intermediate to advanced SQL skills, coupled with a passion for leveraging data analytics to drive insights.
  • Proven track record in public accounting or project managing internal and external audits for large, multinational organizations with complex business recognition processes.
  • Proficiency with SAP, reporting, and business recognition systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving and presentation skills, with proven ability to communicate with stakeholders at all levels, including executive management, and cross-functional partners.

Responsibilities

  • Support month-end and quarter-end close process for Cloud Controllership, ensuring timely and accurate reporting of business and expenses to key stakeholders. Expand and enhance business reporting capabilities to seamlessly integrate and accommodate incremental parts of Google Cloud as the business evolves.
  • Leverage data to identify, prioritize, implement, and measure process improvements that enhance and optimize the control environment, drive standardization and continuous improvement, and scale with growth.
  • Identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities to enhance efficiency and accuracy. Develop insightful financial dashboards and reports for business leaders to make data-driven decisions.
  • Collaborate on development and maintenance of robust accounting controls and create detailed documentation for all processes and tasks.
  • Build strong relationships with cross-functional teams, understanding their needs and providing financial insights to support their strategic goals.
