We are now looking for a Business Controller to expand our Global Support Functions FP&A team which supports Global Function heads.  

The essence of the role

As a Business Controller, you will play a crucial role providing support to C-level Managers and their organizations. You will be responsible for various tasks, primarily OPEX Control (monitoring personnel and non-personnel costs), conducting business plan reviews, creating, and refining budgets and forecasts, conducting insightful analysis, and deliver KPI reporting. 
 
Your contribution will go beyond just providing data - you will offer valuable insights and recommendations to drive cost optimization through proactive cost monitoring. Additionally, you will be involved in contract negotiations and closely track investment and transformation projects initiated by group functions. 
 
This role is all about business! You'll get to roll up your sleeves and work hands-on while also thinking strategically. As the key connection between finance and management, you'll have the chance to make a big impact.

As our new Business Controller, you will:

  • Be part of a FP&A team supporting our global support functions (CFO, CHRO, CMO, CSO, CLO, CIO, CEO). 
  • Primarily support a specific function but also support other functions when required to drive achievement of financial and operational targets. 
  • Conduct insightful profitability/ROI analysis, business plan reviews, cost optimization. 
  • Support your area with in-depth analysis and sharing of financial knowledge with the aim of reaching financial targets. 
  • Report and present delivery of OPEX results and KPI reporting. 
  • Drive the forecast and budget process for your area including creating and refining budgets and forecasts with responsible managers. 
  • Consolidate OPEX spend (personnel and non-personnel costs) from various ERP tools. 
  • Actively work in the monthly closing to ensure accuracy of spend. 
  • Continuously work on improving our processes and daily tasks together with the FP&A team

Additionally, your excellent communication skills will allow you to adapt your message and language to different audiences. You excel at managing plans, deadlines, and expectations, and have a keen ability to prioritize effectively.
 
In order to be successful in this role, we believe you have: 

  • Education: MSc, BSc. Academic degree in either Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Engineering or similar. 
  • Experience: Minimum 5 Years as Business Controller / Finance Business Partner.  
  • Technical skills: You have financial and analytical skills, with a data driven approach. Ability to simplify complex data. Excellent with Excel (As example Power query, Power pivots), PowerPoint.  
  • Experience of Data consolidation and visualization of Data / storytelling. 
  • Personality Skills: You enjoy working in a fast-paced international environment and have the ability to live and act in a climate of change.  

Big Plus!  

  • Accounting background.  
  • Experience of Group cost allocation models  
  • Experience of tax/transfer pricing 
  • Experience of Project Management - Process transformations  
  • Experience of working in a global environment with numerous legal entities and ERP systems. 
  • Experience from listed company. 
  • Experience from a SaaS company.
