Job Description
Tesla is seeking a skilled Body Repair Painter to join its groundbreaking Body Repair Program in Eagle Farm. Responsibilities include high-quality spray application of primers, sealers, basecoats, and clearcoats, aiming for approximately 6 fully prepped repairs daily (a mix of bumpers and panel jobs). The role requires precise color blending and working collaboratively with prep staff and other painters. Candidates must have 3+ years of experience in automotive collision repair using urethane-based systems, demonstrate excellent spraying skills resulting in a flawless OEM-quality finish, and be comfortable with overtime. I-Car Australia certification and experience with various tools is a plus. This is a full-time on-site position.

What You’ll Do- High quality spray application of Primers, Sealers, Basecoats, and Clearcoats
- Spraying approximately 6 (Fully Prepped) RO’s per day (2 Bumper, 1 - six panel jobs, 3 - Two to three panel jobs) in state-of-the-art Downdraft spray booths
- Work closely with Prep Staff and other Painters to meet work demands as a team
- Invisible basecoat colour blending
- Application of 2 and 3 stage colours
- 3+ years of experience refinishing cars in an automotive collision repair environment utilizing urethane based refinish systems
- Able to produce sprayed finishes with little or no dirt and a consistent gloss and texture matching the OEM finish without the need to sand and buff
- Willingness to work overtime if required
- Any certification in I-Car Australia is a plus
- Valid Driver’s License with a good driving record
- Capable of reading and comprehending automotive repair procedures
- Experience with operations and maintenance of a wide variety of hand and power tools, shop tools, test equipment
- Must be willing to train others
- Must be comfortable working in a collision shop environment
