Job Description

Tesla seeks a Body Repair Estimator in Perth, Australia to join their groundbreaking Body Repair Program. Responsibilities include creating repair estimates for collision-damaged Tesla vehicles, building repair plans adhering to Tesla procedures, billing in accordance with insurance standards, documenting damages, ordering parts, communicating with insurance companies, directing technicians, managing time effectively, and updating customers on vehicle progress. The ideal candidate will possess 3+ years of automotive collision damage estimating experience, knowledge of insurance procedures, I-CAR certification (preferred), excellent communication skills, proficiency with computers and Audatex estimating software, and exceptional customer service skills.

Must have:

3+ years collision damage estimating experience
Knowledge of insurance procedures
I-CAR certification preferred
Excellent communication skills
Proficient with Audatex estimating software

Good to have:

Automotive knowledge/background
Willingness for cross-training in management roles

What You’ll Do

Create repair estimates for Collision damaged for all Tesla models that arrive for repair (Technical estimating, no sales estimating)

Build Repair Plans in accordance with Tesla specific repair procedures
Bill work in accordance with industry accepted Insurance standards
Document all damages requiring repair or parts replacement with photos
Direct disassembly to technicians to expose all damages up front
Order all replacement parts from Tesla Warehouse when necessary
Monitor parts delivery • Communicate with insurance companies to submit claims and billing
Direct Body Repair Technicians to perform repair attempts where Repair Vs Replace is not clear
Manage time to meet daily requirements of fully Blueprinted vehicles
Update Customers on vehicle progress
