Description

Multi award winning games dialogue specialist SIDE is looking for an Audio Editor to join its team. SIDE has been producing best-in-class game audio for over 25 years and built an enviable portfolio and brand. Recent hit releases SIDE have provided dialogue services for include Cyberpunk 2077, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, Hitman III, Returnal, It Takes Two and more.

The successful candidate would be responsible for engineering games dialogue sessions in one of SIDE's London recording studios, working on often BAFTA award winning games. This role will be based in studio at SIDE's London HQ. The Audio Editor role will include a mix of:

  • Independently edit dialogue for various game projects, ensuring high quality audio output. 
  • Perform tasks such as editing dialogue, trimming and syncing video, fetching missing exports, dialogue design and mastering, working with timing constraints, importing audio files into DAW sessions, prepare studio sessions’ assets such as audio and video reference files and dialogue scripts, and anything else to support the post team with their day-to-day duties.
  • Collaborate with the post-production team and studio engineers to deliver audio that meets the client’s vision.
  • Organise, track and manage audio files in a systematic manner ensuring they are correctly labelled and stored.
  • Troubleshoot audio issues and ensure all deliverables meet technical specifications.
  • Stay up to date on the latest audio editing software, best practices and techniques.
  • Report any issues that might impact progress or quality.

Requirements

  • Proficient in the following software and tools:

o   WAV file audio editors (Preferably Adobe Audition and/or IZotope RX)

o   Avid Pro Tools

o   MS Excel and Google Sheets

  • Strong interest in audio technology and a passion for video games (bonus).
  • Good ability in troubleshooting technical and IT issues.
  • Able to adapt and learn new skills and software.
  • Strong time management and organisational skills.
  • Self-driven, resourceful and a team player who can work well with all levels.
