Summary

This role involves integrating and debugging software across various layers (firmware, drivers, OS) throughout the product lifecycle. Responsibilities include developing hardware/software debug plans, analyzing issues, determining root causes, and driving improvements. The ideal candidate will possess advanced problem-solving skills, strong communication skills, and experience with PC architecture and system validation. The position requires expertise in debugging software across multiple layers of the software stack, analyzing issues from various validation streams, and developing improvements. Experience with Linux operating systems and high-speed IO is a plus. Scripting skills (Bash, C, Python) and knowledge of digital and analog electronics are also valuable.

Job Description

Your responsibilities will include but not limited to:

  • Integrates and debugs software across the stack for a specific product, platform, feature, or technology throughout the product lifecycle, including PreSilicon development, power on, and/or PostSilicon development.
  • Debugs software across multiple layers of the software stack including firmware, drivers, and operating systems.
  • Develop and applies a hardware/software debug plan and associated methodologies.
  • Analyzes issues, manages sightings from various validation streams, determines root cause, and drives or develops improvements.

The ideal candidate should exhibit the following behavioral traits:

  • Advanced Problem-Solving skills.
  • Strong English communication skills.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications you must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position:

  • Candidate must possess a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related STEM field.
  • 2+ years working on System Validation.
  • 2+ years of experience of PC Architecture knowledge.
  • Advanced English level.

Preferred Qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates:

  • Master's or PhD degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related STEM field
  • 2+ years of experience in Hardware and/or software development debugging skills.
  • 1+ year of experience working with Linux Operating systems experience with focus on OS/Kernel debug. Any other high speed IO understanding is an added advantage. Bash, C and/or Python scripting.
  • Digital and analog electronics device knowledge.
