We are looking for a talented Associate Analytics Director, with a passion for product and game development, to push and deeply understand the performance of our game economy as part of the Candy Crush Saga team. You will get the opportunity to be part of a great team, working with an industry leading and genre defining game with over 200 million active players.
 

Your Role Within the Kingdom

As the Associate Analytics Director, you will spearhead efforts to analyze and optimize our game’s live in-app purchases (IAP) and offer portfolio. Collaborating with Product Managers, Designers, and Engineers, you will not only analyze existing data but also innovate and guide implementation of solutions to enhance player engagement and business performance. Your expertise in product analytics will be crucial in generating strategic insights that propel Candy Crush Saga to new heights. 

In your capacity as a people manager, you will exemplify best practices and foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth within the analytics team. You will also co-manage our analytical experimentation processes, ensuring actionable insights and consistent reporting on business and strategic progress, aiding in informed decision-making.
 

Key responsibilities:

Experimentation loop, business performance & strategy 

• Drive in-game experimentation to improve business performance together with the product manager and analysts by identifying opportunities and testing via A/B tests

• Assist leadership in shaping strategic initiatives and setting the strategic direction for the product area based on insights.

• Maintain and improve the reporting process and format for business performance and experimentation.

• Collaborate with central analytics teams and other leaders to establish best practices for analyzing key business drivers.

Develop our analysts by setting them up for success  

• Manage and lead analysts to achieve objectives, defining analytics scope and coordinating people across the area.

• Provide analysts opportunities to grow their skills and careers in King and help to foster their professional development.

• Ensure the availability of necessary resources in collaboration with stakeholders to fulfill the analytics roadmap and maximize team potential.

Help guide and contribute to work as a senior craft representative 

• Actively contribute analytical expertise to product streams within the area, driving key insights and action.

• Promote advanced analytical methods and frameworks to enhance product quality and user experience.

• Own analytics projects, integrating needs into development roadmaps.

• Foster growth within and across crafts, promoting leadership development and supporting craft-related forums and initiatives.

Skills to Create Thrills

• Proven experience in a B2C commercial setting, utilizing data-driven insights for topline performance improvements, preferably in strategy, management consulting, or pricing.

• Demonstrated leadership abilities with a proactive approach to learning and collaboration in a fast-paced environment.

• Strong communication skills with a track record of effectively translating analytical insights to diverse teams.

• Masters’ or PhD Degree, or equivalent industry experience, in Statistics, Mathematics, Physics. Economics, Engineering or similar fields.

• Highly proficient in SQL as well as sufficient skills in Python or R, known work experience in numerical analysis, project management, experimentation, and advanced reporting methodologies that can help you guide the team.
