Job Description

We are looking for an Intermediate Environment Artist (Vegetation) to create high-quality stylized vegetation props (trees, grass, bushes, rocks, etc.) for our original UE5 project. 3+ years of experience as an Environment Artist with strong knowledge of 3ds Max/Maya, Substance, SpeedTree, Zbrush and Photoshop is required.

Notre équipe à Montréal s'agrandit et nous sommes à la recherche d'un Artiste Environnemental Intermédiaire (Végétation) pour nous aider à poser les bases de notre projet stylisé original dans UE5 !

Vous travaillerez en étroite collaboration avec la direction artistique établie, créerez et explorerez de manière autonome des accessoires d'environnement passionnants.

Responsabilités :

  • Collaborer avec les artistes de l'environnement, les artistes techniques, les responsables artistiques et le directeur artistique pour créer des accessoires de végétation stylisés de haute qualité (arbres, herbe, buissons, rochers, etc.) en premier lieu et d'autres accessoires d'environnement en second lieu.
  • Collaborer avec tous les autres départements impliqués dans notre approche interdisciplinaire pour s'assurer que nous maintenons la plus haute qualité visuelle, l'optimisation et le meilleur pipeline tout au long de la production.
  • Travailler avec l'artiste principal pour suggérer des solutions artistiques et techniques afin d'améliorer la qualité.
  • Être un modèle avec la volonté d'aider les autres à réussir avec une attitude positive.
  • Mettre en place des actifs sur lesquels travailleront d'autres artistes et l'externalisation.

Qualifications :

  • 3+ ans d'expérience en tant qu'artiste de l'environnement ou équivalent avec un moteur de jeu AAA.
  • Solide connaissance des outils et flux de travail standards de l'industrie, tels que 3ds Max/Maya, Substance, SpeedTree, Zbrush et Photoshop.
  • Portfolio mettant en valeur vos compétences et votre passion pour l'art de l'environnement stylisé.
  • Bonne compréhension du pipeline et des techniques de création d'accessoires de végétation stylisée.
  • Ouverture d'esprit pour essayer de nouvelles choses et explorer différents styles.
  • Esprit d'entreprise qui vous motive à faire avancer l'aiguille dans un nouveau studio et la volonté de faire les choses mieux.
  • Unreal Engine Expérience dans le développement de jeux
  • Une expérience dans un jeu AAA est un plus.

Environment Artist (Vegetation)

Our team in Montreal is growing and we are looking for an Intermediate Environment Artist (Vegetation) to help us lay the groundwork for our original stylized project in UE5!

You will work closely towards the established Art Direction - create and explore exciting environment props autonomously.

Resposibilities:

  • Work closely with the Environment Artists, Tech Artists, Art Leads, and Art Director to create high quality Stylized Vegetation Props (Trees, Grass, Bushes, Rocks, etc.) as primary and other Environment Props as secondary.
  • Get together with all other departments involved in our cross-discipline approach to ensure we maintain the highest visual quality, optimization, and the best pipeline throughout the production.
  • Work with the Lead Artist to suggest artistic and technical solutions to achieve quality improvements.
  • Be a role model with the drive to help others succeed with a positive attitude.
  • Setup assets to be worked on by other artists and outsourcing

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience as an Environment Artist or equivalent with a AAA game engine.
  • Strong knowledge of industry standard tools and workflows, such as 3ds Max/Maya, Substance, SpeedTree, Zbrush and Photoshop.
  • Portfolio that showcases your skill and passion for the Stylized Environment Art.
  • Good understanding of Stylized Vegetation Prop creation pipeline and techniques
  • Openness to try new things and explore different styles.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit that motivates you to move the needle forward in a fresh studio and the drive to do things better.
  • Unreal Engine Experience in game development
  • Shipped AAA Title is a plus
