Previous blockchain experience, while desirable, is not required and so this is an excellent opportunity for anybody who has an interest in growing their skills and experience in this novel and fast-moving field.

Your mission

We are looking for a Applications Engineer to support the day to day Enterprise tooling needs of our employees. This role requires a technically proficient individual with a deep understanding of both Jira and Confluence and the ability to implement processes and governance across various tools such as Google Workspace, Slack, Miro and Notion. As part of this, you will be responsible to providing a level of IT service delivery that meets our agreed internal company SLAs.

You will also assist with the planning and migration to a suite of new enterprise tooling applications and services, which will be using a combination of both on-premise and cloud based solutions.

What you'll do

  • Maintain and optimise our Jira Cloud instance, whilst developing and implementing new projects, workflows, configurations and automations as needed.
  • Assist with the migration to a suite of new enterprise tooling applications and services, which will be using a combination of both on-premise and cloud based solutions.
  • Implement and manage processes and governance in a wide variety of Enterprise tooling including but not limited to: Jira, Confluence, Google Workspace, Slack, Miro and Notion.
  • Assist with the implementation the short-term and long-term company Enterprise tooling strategy and roadmap, aligned with the company's goals and priorities
  • Respond to any Enterprise tooling related issues that may arise and work with external service providers and vendors where required, ensuring that SLAs are being met
  • Creating documentation and providing training for all company employees on Jira and other Enterprise tools
  • Work closely with security teams to establish and enforce security standards, policies and procedures, and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry best practices.
  • Ensure that all Enterprise tools are integrated effectively together to assist in establishing a strong tooling ecosystem.
  • Provide timely and consistent support, acknowledging and recording all issues and requests.
  • Manage Enterprise tooling inventory and purchasing requests.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline and automate business processes using the available tools.
  • Communicate effectively with senior stakeholders, customers and delivery teams on Enterprise tooling related matters

What you'll bring

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Network, Systems Administration or related degree
  • Minimum 2 – 3 years of experience as a Jira system administrator or Applications Engineer with exposure to Jira system administration.
  • Knowledge of managing users in Active Directory / LDAP and/or other SSO tools.
  • Knowledge of IT and networking security principles, frameworks, standards and best practices.
  • Knowledge of basic software engineering concepts, including databases, APIs, and system integration.
  • Experience in providing training to technical and non-technical staff on the usage of Enterprise tooling.
  • Ability to meet project deadlines and work well under pressure as part of a team environment and independently.
  • Full English professional proficiency, with excellent verbal and written communication skills with high interpersonal skills and customer orientation.
  • Ability to work on a rota basis and outside of normal business hours when needed, including international travel to office locations within the UK and Europe
