We are seeking a dedicated 3D Animator to join our team at Bardel. In this role, you will be responsible for creating high-quality 3D animations that bring our characters and environments to life. You will collaborate with a talented team of artists, animators, and technical experts to contribute to the project’s success and ensure our creative visions are realized. 

Dates: October 21, 2024 - March 7, 2025

Location: Vancouver studio

Key Responsibilities (What you’ll be doing): 

  • Create compelling 3D character animations that align with project requirements and artistic vision. 
  • Develop and refine animation sequences using industry-standard tools and techniques. 
  • Work closely with the Supervisor/Lead and team to ensure a cohesive artistic direction. 
  • Incorporate feedback from directors and supervisors to enhance animation quality and effectiveness. 
  • Troubleshoot and address technical issues in animation, ensuring smooth integration into the production pipeline. 
  • Work within project deadlines within a tv production schedule while maintaining high-quality standards in your animations. 

Qualifications (What you bring with you): 

  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in 3D animation. 
  • Experience with Maya is required. 
  • Strong understanding of animation principles, character rigging, and motion dynamics. 
  • Excellent teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills. 
  • A strong portfolio showcasing a variety of 3D animation work, including strong acting and lip sync, preferably between 2 or more characters, action mechanics or body mechanics and interesting timing 

 

Salary Range: $1300 - $1600 CAD Weekly 

The Salary Range is the span between the minimum and maximum base salary for a position. The midpoint of the range is approximately halfway between the minimum and the maximum and represents an employee that possesses full job knowledge, qualifications and experience for the position. In the normal course, employees will be hired, transferred or promoted between the minimum and midpoint of the salary range for a job.
