Guru Studio is seeking a talented 3D Shot Finaler to join the production of "Paw Patrol Specials." Responsibilities include fixing animation artifacts (floating objects, intersections, tangents), troubleshooting technical issues, publishing QC'd shots, maintaining shot continuity, and using Shotgrid for tracking. The ideal candidate possesses prior finaling experience (minimum one year in animated series or features), the ability to adapt to change, and generalist experience. XGen and USD experience are assets. The role is a contract position offering a hybrid work model, combining remote and in-studio work in Toronto, Ontario. The position involves working on the globally popular children's show, Paw Patrol, contributing to its continued success.

We're looking for a talented 3D Shot Finaler to join the production of “Paw Patrol Specials” based on the world-wide hit “Paw Patrol”.


Responsibilities:

  • Fix unwanted artifacts in shots coming out of Animation (e.g. floating, intersections, tangents)
  • Troubleshoot technical issues as they arise
  • Publish QC'd shots from Animation into Lighting
  • Maintain continuity between shots to keep a continuous flow throughout episodes
  • Use Shotgrid to track shots coming in to and going out of the Finaling department


Qualifications:

  • Previous Finaling experience
  • Minimum a year of production experience in animated series or animated feature
  • Ability to take directive and adapt to change
  • Generalist experience is a major asset
  • Experience with the production process from Layout through Compositing is an asset
  • XGen experience is an asset
  • USD experience is an asset
