2D Character Animator, Thrive Intern

As a designer, you’ll join a culture of creativity and craft, where we have a high bar for excellence and an endless curiosity about how to bring more unexpected quirk and fun to the pursuit of learning.

  You will...

• Work independently and in small groups to complete challenging animation projects.
• Develop your technical skills through hands-on training, workshops, and lectures from Duolingo artists.
• Receive coaching and mentorship from a Duolingo Studio Artist.
• Partner with others who share a passion for making the best education universally available.

  You have...

• Second-year undergraduate student currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Animation, or related technical field graduating in May 2027 (or December 2026). 
• Completion of at least two college-level design courses (please upload your official or unofficial transcript).
• Experience animating in creative software such as Animate, AfterEffects, Harmony, or other comparable software
• Available for a full-time 10-week internship from June to August.

  Exceptional candidates will have...
