Summary

As a Video Standards and Encoding Optimization Intern, you'll collaborate with engineers and researchers to improve video coding technologies. Responsibilities include researching and developing innovative video compression and processing solutions, optimizing video encoders for enhanced performance and quality. The ideal candidate possesses a Master's/PhD in a relevant field (Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, etc.) and experience with image/video compression or processing. Proficiency in C/C++, Python, and strong communication skills are essential.

What the Role Entails

As a Video Standards and Encoder Optimization Intern, you will work closely with our experienced engineers and researchers to assist in the development and enhancement of video coding technologies. 

 Conduct research and develop innovative solutions for video compression and processing.

 Work on optimizing video encoders to improve performance and video quality.

Who We Look For

 A master/PhD program in computer science, electrical engineering, math, statistics, or related fields.

 Related working experience/course work in image/video compression or image processing.

 Proficiency in programming languages such as C/C++, Python, or similar.

 Ability to communicate/collaborate with other researchers/engineers

 Ability to think out of box.

Preferred Qualifications:

 Good understanding of state-of-the-art video compression algorithms.

 Working experience on HEVC, AV1, VVC, AVS or other video codecs.

 Experience with software development and debugging.
