Activate is a tech company known for creating Canada’s first full-scale interactive gaming facility.  We are experiencing significant expansion across Canada, the US and into the global market. As a result of this growth, We are seeking a skilled Traveling Electronics/Product Installers to join our US installation team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting electronic components of Activate's Game systems. The Traveling Electronics/Product Installers will collaborate closely with technical team members to ensure the successful installation, configuration, and implementation of electronic components.


Essential Job Functions


  • Install, maintenance, and repair of products using various tools and machines.
  • Perform routine test  and troubleshoot electronic equipment.
  • Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
  • Conduct repairs for defective components and faulty wirings, recommending solutions.
  • Maintain accurate records such as inventory lists, tracking numbers, and invoices.
  • Follow all company safety, quality, and environmental protection policies.
  • Keep abreast of industry trends and advancements in electronic systems.

 

Qualifications, Education, and Experience


  • Working knowledge of the installation, configuration, and operation of wireless, ISDN, ADSL, & cable modems.
  • Ability to install and troubleshoot various types of products as well as perform basic troubleshooting.
  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules, maintenance instructions, manuals, diagrams, drawings, and manuals of craft trades.
  • Local, national, and international travel required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 2+ years’ experience working in construction, maintenance, remodeling, or relevant industry required.
  • Electrical apprenticeship program exposure is a plus.
  • Valid driver's license.


Cognitive and Physical Demands


  • Must regularly lift and/or move more than 50 pounds at higher than chest level.
  • The individual frequently is required to climb stairs and ladders.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and time management skills, with a proven track record of meeting deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
  • Ability to understand and follow technical manuals and schematics.


Working Conditions


  • While performing the duties of this job, you may be required to sit, stand, walk, reach with your hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and communicate with others.
