Your Impact:
As the Training Operations Manager, Latin America you will be responsible for managing all aspects of LATAM's international training mission, administrative support, coordination of the translation of all applicable learning materials, leading Instructor and Master Instructor Courses in the area of operation and providing support to the Axon training network and operator population.
Additionally, you will collaborate with the Senior Director of Training on operational tasks, supporting the team as it expands its scope and capabilities.
This position is vital for ensuring the success of LATAM’s training mission and enhancing our training resources for operators.
What You’ll Do
Location: Hybrid at our Scottsdale, AZ office and on the road 50% of time
Reports to: Director of Training
Direct Reports: 4-6
- Operational Leadership: Lead, manage, and mentor a team of training professionals across the LATAM region ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives.
- Training Delivery: Delivering translated/localized Axon Training curriculum, materials and associated training to LATAM region customers.
- Market Strategy: Manages market development and strategic and operational initiatives across LATAM in support of strategic sales and scaling targets.
- Collaboration: Works with and enables LATAM Sales team in order to facilitate the adoption and rapid deployment of Axon products across the region.
- Strategic Planning: Constant synchronization of assets with US-based Training Team, Global Marketing Team, Sales Team, Distributors and Customers in order to execute a joint effort to advance team’s interest in the region
- Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and mitigate operational risks through effective governance and controls.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Foster positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including customers, partners, and regulatory bodies.
- Performance Metrics: Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate departmental performance and drive continuous improvement.
- Training and Development: Identify training needs across customer segments and agencies
- Special Projects: Lead or contribute to special projects and initiatives as assigned by senior management.
What You Bring
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in administrative management roles, preferably within the training or technology industry.
- Bi-lingual Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Spanish, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse stakeholders
- Travel requirements: Minimum of 50% travel required
- Leadership Skills: Proven leadership and people management skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
- Strategic Thinker: Strong strategic planning and problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail.
- Global Perspective: Experience managing administrative operations in a global or multi-national organization.
- Technology Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, Slack, Carbon Voice, Voxer, Sharepoint and Smartsheets.
- Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively
- Experience as a TASER Master Instructor
- Military or law enforcement experience
