Overview

As a Global Account Manager in the financial services sector, you will play a pivotal role in driving digital transformation and fostering strategic partnerships with some one of the world’s leading financial organizations. This position requires a deep understanding of the financial services industry, customer needs, and market dynamics to deliver innovative solutions that align with client priorities and create measurable business value.

You will be responsible for cultivating and maintaining trusted relationships with executive stakeholders, leveraging your expertise to align Microsoft’s capabilities with customer strategies. By proactively developing a comprehensive understanding of each client’s goals, industry direction, and competitive landscape, you will lead the creation and execution of account plans that ensure high-value outcomes for both Microsoft and its customers.

Your role involves managing complex accounts, overseeing planning and prioritization to address evolving customer needs, and strategically guiding resource allocation. Through collaboration with internal teams and industry experts, you will design and promote long-term, mutually beneficial transformation strategies. Additionally, you will act as a trusted advisor, delivering compelling value propositions, crafting specialized business plans, and identifying opportunities to expand engagements through upselling and cross-selling initiatives.

This role requires exceptional communication skills and the ability to lead extended virtual teams, ensuring seamless execution and alignment across stakeholders. By translating features into meaningful business impacts, you will drive the customer’s digital transformation and accelerate their market presence.

Qualifications

Required/minimum qualifications

 

Bachelor's Degree in Business, Technology, or related field AND 5+ years experience working in Financial Services Industry driving digital transformation, or other relevant work experience (e.g., consulting, technology) OR Master's Degree in Business Administration AND 4+ years experience working in an Financial Services Industry, driving digital transformation, or other relevant work experience (e.g., consulting, technology) OR 7+ years experience in working in an Financial Services Industry, driving digital transformation, or other relevant work experience (e.g., consulting, technology) OR equivalent experience.

 

 

Additional or preferred qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Technology, or related field AND 8+ years experience working in an Financial Services Industry, driving digital transformation, or other relevant work experience (e.g., consulting, technology) OR Master's Degree in Business Administration AND 6+ years experience working in an Financial Services Industry, driving digital transformation, or other relevant work experience (e.g., consulting, technology) OR equivalent experience. 5+ years account management experience OR equivalent.
 
 

Responsibilities

We are seeking an experienced and motivated professional to join our team as a Global Account Team in the financial services sector. This role is pivotal in managing and growing strategic relationships with our most valued clients, driving innovation and delivering transformative solutions that align with customer goals. You will work across diverse teams, both internal and external, to create and execute impactful account strategies.

 

Responsibilities

 

Account Management
As the Global Account Manager, you will lead the development and execution of comprehensive account strategies tailored to each client's unique needs. You will collaborate with internal teams, such as Industry Solutions, and external partners to provide a seamless account management experience. This includes engaging with mainstream partners to foster long-term, mutually beneficial business and technology strategies, while promoting joint solutions and driving momentum on opportunities. You will ensure that account plans align with Microsoft’s sales and delivery methodologies, overseeing multiple, complex accounts to achieve revenue and consumption targets.

Your ability to expand your network of influence on the client’s board and within key decision-making circles will be essential. You will lead virtual teams, prioritize projects, and streamline processes to reduce complexity for both the customer and internal teams, ensuring all activities drive measurable business outcomes.

 

Customer Engagement
You will play a crucial role in supporting business transformation through technology by leveraging consultative and innovative approaches. By understanding your client’s business and technology strategies, you will anticipate their needs and provide solutions that address their priorities. Your ability to position Microsoft as a trusted advisor will be instrumental in guiding customers through change and delivering business value.

Establishing and maintaining executive-level relationships is a key aspect of this role. You will proactively connect the customer with Microsoft executives and partners, building trust at multiple levels within the organization. By creating a rhythm of business with key customer stakeholders, you will demonstrate the value of Microsoft’s solutions and highlight their return on investment (ROI).

 

Industry Knowledge
Your expertise in financial services will allow you to apply a deep understanding of industry trends, market dynamics, and regulatory requirements. You will use this knowledge to position Microsoft’s solutions as innovative drivers of business transformation, showcasing their relevance and impact within the industry context.

 

Sales Excellence
Driving growth is a core part of this role. You will develop and implement strategies for upselling and cross-selling opportunities, leveraging virtual teams to identify and act on new business prospects. Your ability to craft compelling value propositions and business cases will be essential in demonstrating how Microsoft’s solutions address specific client challenges.
