Job Description

Consilio seeks a skilled SR Storage Engineer to manage & maintain storage systems, ensuring high availability & performance. 5+ years experience required with expertise in NetApp, Pure/Nimble, DellEMC, Cisco MDS, ITIL, & strong analytical & communication skills.

About the job

As a Storage Engineer for Consilio you will be responsible for coordinating installations, configuring, and maintaining storage systems that support our development, test, and production systems. The position will provide the opportunity to work in a fast-paced global storage environment .

Responsibilities

  • Support and maintain highly available storage services , backup/restores , and related systems.
  • Handle the diagnosis of complex storage problems including provisioning infrastructure and performance management .
  • Diagnose issues and problems bridging various other layers and their interactions with storage, including virtualization, operating systems and applications.
  • Perform system maintenance in accordance with established schedules and best practices.
  • Install, update and maintain supported systems as necessary.
  • C ollaborate on projects for improving, securing , and deploying storage systems.
  • Work off hours when required to troubleshoot, perform maintenance activities, system upgrades or data migrations

Additional Responsibilities/Details:

  • Ability to perform effectively and constructively cope with the stresses inherent to 24x7 business support situations.
  • Ability to understand, apply and adhere to all stated security-related practices.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of awareness related to security.
  • 10% travel may be required with this position: globally.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor degree required or equivalent work experience

Minimum Experience Requirements:

  • 5 - 10 years of progressively responsible experience in related roles

Other Requirements:

  • Net A pp experience (NetApp certification is a plus )
  • Pure/Nimble experience ( Pure/Nimble certification is a plus )
  • DellEMC Isilon/ Powerscale experience
  • Cisco MDS (or other SAN fabrics) (Cisco MDS certification is a plus )
  • ITIL Fundamentals certification is a plus.
  • S erver hardware e.g. Intel/AMD, Cisco , HP, Dell
  • O perating system e.g. Windows, UNIX/LINUX, VM
  • D ata storage and backup concepts e.g. SAN, NAS, B ackup utilities
  • A dministration/management tools; scripting/command languages /Ansible
  • Proficiency in MS Office and docu mentation tools.
  • Strong analytical, research, systemic thinking, and problem - solving skills
  • Strong organizational skills and able to effectively manage simultaneous priorities
  • Effective relationship-building and interpersonal skills; track record of strong leadership.
  • Strong communication skills (written, verbal, presentation, and facilitation)
  • Maintains high quality standards and attention to detail in work product
  • Ability to perform in a self-directed manner, and to multi-task.
  • Aptitude to learn quickly and to rapidly apply feedback.
