Job Description

This role is for a Solution Architect - Fixed Income at a well-established global investment bank. The project involves re-architecting their fixed income trading application, encompassing cash securities and fixed income OTC derivatives. Responsibilities include evaluating the current system's effectiveness and risks, identifying challenges in the existing technology and architecture, collaborating with IT, Operations, and business teams, assessing suitable technologies and platforms, and producing a re-architecture roadmap. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in fixed income within investment banking, a strong understanding of technology infrastructure, data management, and business flows, and proven success in delivering complex projects.

Must have:

15+ years overall experience, 6+ years as Solution Architect in fixed income
Strong understanding of Investment Bank tech infrastructure, data management, and business flows
In-depth knowledge of Fixed Income business flows
Proven track record of delivering complex technology projects
Exceptional technical acumen, experience with modern tech stacks and cloud solutions
Excellent leadership and communication skills
Strong analytical, requirements gathering, planning, budgeting skills

Good to have:

Prior experience with Murex, Orchestrade, Calypso, Summit
Prior experience working with Japanese clients

Project description

Client is one of the well-established global investment bank looking to reachitect their fixed income trading application which includes both cash securities and fixed income OTC derivatives.

Responsibilities

Evaluate the effectiveness along with potential risk and issues of current fixed income system being used for calculation of Risk and PL of fixed income derivatives and cash fixed income securities.

Identify the challenges associated with current fixed income systems and underlying technology / architecture.

Collaborate with IT, Operations and business team to understand their needs and requirement.

Assess various technologies and platforms to determine the most suitable options for the solution, considering factors such as cost, performance, and compatibility.

Produce a roadmap/plan for a re-architecture of their Fixed Income system landscape.

Skills

Must have

15+ years pf overall experience out of which 6+ years as Solution Architect in the fixed income space within an Investment bank.

Strong understanding of Investment Bank technology infrastructure, data management, and business flows

In-depth knowledge of Fixed Income business flows involving OTC Interest rates derivatives and Cash FI securities.

Proven track record of successfully delivering complex technology projects involving cross-functional teams and fostering collaboration between IT, Front office, Operations, Risk and finance.

Exceptional technical acumen, with experience in modern technology stacks, cloud-based solutions, and API-driven architectures.

Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and build consensus across diverse stakeholder groups.

Strong analytical skills, requirements gathering, planning, budgeting and streamlining capabilities.

Nice to have

Prior Experience around Murex, Orchestrade, Calypso, Summit etc

Prior experience of working with Japanese client
