TEAM INTRODUCTION The Cloud Native Infrastructure team is part of the core Technical Infrastructure engineering team of ByteDance R&D. The team implements and manages a Kubernetes-like Cloud-Native Orchestration framework and cluster management system to host micro services, server-less applications, big data processing, machine learning, distributed storage services, and edge computing platforms for the company. We are looking for talented individuals to join us for an internship in 2025. Internships at ByteDance aim to offer students industry exposure and hands-on experience. RESPONSIBILITIES This internship provides students the opportunity to join the Cloud Native Infrastructure (K8s Engineering) team where you will work on one of the many innovation projects (but not limited to): • Build new features for our Next-Gen application orchestration framework for supporting hundreds of millions of diversified Cloud-Native applications across clouds. • Solve unique, large-scale, highly complex technical problems. • Build framework (e.g., smart simulations) to benchmark our K8s scheduler in super-large scale, and drive innovation on scheduler technology. • Help to automate our K8s platform deployment & operation process for better user experience in a dynamic and multi-cloud & multi-tenant environment. • Help to drive cloud-native platforms to the next level for supporting emerging use cases - e.g., AI/ML Large Language Model, et • Participate in technical discussions related to team's product and engineering work.

【For Pay Transparency】Compensation Description Intern (hourly)

The hourly rate range for this position in the selected city is $60- $60. We cover 100% premium coverage for Full-Time intern medical insurance after 90 days from the date of hire. Medical coverage only, no dental or vision coverage.

Our time off and leave plans are: Paid holidays and paid sick leave. The sick leave entitlement is based on the time you join.

We also provide mental and emotional health benefits through our Employee Assistance Program and provide reimbursements for your mobile phone expense. The Company reserves the right to modify or change these benefits programs at any time, with or without notice.
