YOUR GAME

As a member of the Web Team, you'll play a crucial role in supporting the successful delivery and operation of Albion Online. While our team does not develop the game itself, we manage all the essential services that ensure a seamless experience for players. This includes managing the Albion Online website, handling login processes, facilitating in-game purchases, and supporting operational tools for shop management and customer service.

Our infrastructure is both complex and demanding, requiring high performance and 24/7 availability. We are dedicated to developing and maintaining these services to provide top-notch support and deliver the best possible experience for our users.

As a Software Developer you will:

Work on projects for both internal and external audiences, collaborating with adjacent teams and stakeholders
Develop high-quality software in a full stack development context. Still, the primary focus is on server-side Java, which is 80% of all tasks.
Contribute to the code quality of the team by participating in code reviews
Advance unit and integration testing of microservices
Assist in analyzing and fixing issues on the production environment

YOUR TALENT

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science or a related degree
Over 3 years of experience as a software engineer in both backend and frontend development, still with a primary focus on Java backend
Proficiency in Java and Spring Boot. But also, practical experience with JavaScript and at least one frontend development technology (preferably ReactJS and PHP)
Excellent communication skills (presentation, verbal and written) in English
Practical knowledge of agile software development methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban
Experience with the code review process
Understanding of microservice architecture, API design, REST and event driven communication
Experience with relational databases, message queues, distributed in-memory caches, and log search platforms

Preferred Qualifications:

Practical experience with ReactJS and/or PHP
Understanding of performance marketing technologies and experience implementing website tagging using Google Tag Manager
Experience with Google Analytics and ad platforms such as Google Ads and Meta Ads
