Job Description

As a Software Development Engineer, you'll focus on backend applications for the European market. Responsibilities include optimizing and expanding in-house backend applications crucial to the business. You'll work independently on regional projects and handle urgent changes, requiring strong problem-solving and data interpretation skills. Collaboration with cross-functional teams (product managers, quality engineers, release engineers) is key, ensuring ownership of solutions from start to deployment. You'll investigate root causes of failures and continually learn and apply software best practices. The role demands multitasking, prioritization, and excellent communication in a fast-paced environment.

Must have:

3+ years experience in .NET Core, C#, Angular or React
RESTful web services and web application expertise
Stream & event processing (Kafka or RabbitMQ)
SQL & NoSQL database knowledge (MongoDB, MySQL, MSSQL)
Jira, Confluence, Git proficiency
Scalable system building experience
Excellent written and verbal English

What to Expect

As an Software Development Engineer, you focus on backend applications, intended for, but not limited to, the European market. You optimize and expand existing backend applications developed in-house, which provide a competitive advantage and are an essential part of our business.

Your focus will be on the various aspects of our financial and sales-oriented backend applications where you will work independently on regional projects in addition to urgent, immediate changes.

It is an exciting and demanding position that requires to multitask, prioritize and work in an extremely fast-moving, collaborative environment. Because you are working on urgent, immediate changes, you have excellent problem-solving skills, the ability to interpret data and identify improvements in the given context.

What You’ll Do

Collaborate with other cross-functional teams such as product managers, quality engineers and release engineers to own your solution from start to deployment.
In addition to ongoing projects, you are responsible for tackling urgent problems that require immediate action.
Able to communicate and collaborate with domain experts from different disciplines and the ability to handle multiple projects and tasks in parallel.
Communicative and operational skills as well as the ability to work with many stakeholders.
Investigate root cause of failures to drive continual improvement. And continually learn, set, teach, apply software best practices, tools and technologies.

What You’ll Bring

At least 3 years of experience in the latest backend/frontend web stack: NET core, C#, and Angular or React.
Be an expert in RESTful web services and web applications.
Strong experience with stream and event processing frameworks, i.e. Kafka or RabbitMQ.
Excellent knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases, i.e., MongoDB, MySQL, or MSSQL and must be proficient user in Jira, Confluence and Git.
Have experience with building scalable systems
Mastering the English language in both written and verbal form is required and some degree of flexibility is desired as different teams work in different time zones
