Job Description

This Silicon Debug Engineer role at Google involves post-silicon error debugging to support system-level silicon volume ramp. You'll collaborate with design and validation leads to root cause failures, work with internal and external engineers on screening parts and debugging RMAs, and collect post-silicon characterization data to improve production quality and yield. The position requires a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science (or equivalent experience), 2+ years of C programming experience, and experience developing silicon validation tests and debugging post-silicon issues. Experience with embedded software, Android, Embedded Linux, RTOSes, or bare metal software is preferred. The role contributes to the innovation behind Google's products, delivering unparalleled performance, efficiency, and integration.
Must have:
  • Bachelor's degree in EE/CS
  • 2+ years C programming experience
  • Silicon validation test development
  • Post-silicon debugging
  • Collaboration with engineers
Good to have:
  • Master's degree in EE/CS
  • Embedded software development
  • Android/Linux/RTOS experience

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience in C programming.
  • Experience with developing silicon validation tests and debugging post-silicon issues.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or with relevant field.
  • Experience with embedded software development and related tool chains.
  • Experience with Android, Embedded Linux, RTOSes or bare metal software.
