As a Senior Visual Designer, you will be responsible for crafting industry-leading user experiences for Google Cloud Vertex AI. You will work with a team of designers, researchers, writers, and engineers to create innovative and inspiring products that people love to use. You will also be responsible for maturing and evolving the notion of framework by collaborating with other leads to form a cohesive offering across Google products. You will also define, maintain, and evolve the tools, processes, and communication around asset management.
Must have:
  • Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, or a related field
  • 6 years of visual design experience in product design or UX/UI design
  • Experience implementing visual design systems across platforms in an iterative software development environment
  • Experience applying design tools (e.g. Figma, Photoshop, Illustrator, Sketch)
  • Experience in one or more of the following disciplines: illustration, animation, motion graphics, creative direction, prototyping
Good to have:
  • Master's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, or a related field
  • 8 years of experience in product design or UX
  • 3 years of experience working in a complex, cross-functional organization
  • Experience in rapid prototyping
  • Ability to communicate conceptual ideas and design rationale within a user-centered design process
  • Excellent communication and influencing product designing skills

Minimum qualifications:

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $142,000-$211,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Mature and evolve the notion of framework by collaborating with other leads to form a cohesive offering across Google products.
  • Work across programs to define, maintain, and evolve the tools, processes, and communication around asset management.
  • Leverage principal contributors to explore concept development to influence product, a point-of-view around visual style, and product commitments.
  • Defend Google products, our brand promise, and its unique value prop amid an interlaced relationship with Google.
  • Partner with visual programs within our organization to evolve and apply new design styles and aesthetics for our suite of products.
