We are looking for an exceptional Senior Systems Engineer with extensive experience in managing Backup, Storage & Cloud based systems and infrastructure. You will play a supporting role in driving our systems infrastructure strategy that is highly automated and tuned to meet our business needs.

Your role in the Team

Managing and Upgrading our Existing Hyperconverged, Cohesity, Storage Infrastructure.

Expert level knowledge in Cohesity Backup Domain.

Escalation Point in the response to priority incidents. Diagnosing and resolving complex issues.

Assisting in the operational maintenance and support of the Backup and Storage systems including Cohesity, Hyperconverged Infrastructure, Storage & NAS.

Assist in implementing automation where possible.

Ensure team documentation are up to date and assist the teams in coaching or documenting where needed.

Ensuring redundancy and disaster recovery configurations are in place where applicable, coaching the team where needed.

Innovator approach to constantly checking newest competitive technologies in market.

You will play a supporting role in driving our Backups systems infrastructure strategy that is highly automated and tuned to meet our business needs.

What You Will Need For This Role

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field; or equivalent work experience.

15+ years of experience across Virtualization, Storage and Backup Infrastructure.

Expertise in at least one scripting language, Python preferred.

Expert in Hyperconverged systems, Nutanix and Cohesity preferred.

Experience in IAC tooling including Git, Terraform, Docker, and Vault.

In-depth understanding of security practices, system hardening, and encryption technologies.

Must understand a physical DC and how physical HW is racked / configured. Confident working with remote DC team.

Outstanding communication skills and ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Strong, self-motivated, and proactive team player with ability to adjust to shifting priorities and time management skills.

Strong knowledge of network protocols and principles, including multicast, TCP/IP, iSCSI, DHCP, NTP, PTP and DNS.

You’ll really stand out with:

Expert in designing infrastructure IAC pipelines, Gitlab preferred.

Certification or Training in Cohesity, Nutanix.

AWS Certification
